Medieval halberd
A halberd is a polearm, a very long, thrusting spear that was once used extensively by the infantry. Unlike many similar weapons, the halberd is not intended to be thrown. It was used regularly in European warfare from the early Middle Ages to around 1700. The halberd was widely used by mercenary armies and Swiss mercenaries, who used them as their main weapon. In general, a spear becomes a halberd when it is so long that it cannot be wielded with one hand in combat. Pikemen had to be equipped with a shorter weapon such as sword, mace or dagger in order to be able to defend themselves if the fight turned into close combat. The pikeman often had no shield or only a small shield that was of limited use in close combat. The halberd was a long weapon. It had a wooden shaft to which an iron or steel spearhead was attached. The extreme length of such weapons required a strong wood. Details: - Total length: approx. 205 cm - Handle material: wood

Celtic Dagger
The Celtic people lived during the Iron Age, dominating most of western and central Europe. Despite sharing a common language and cultural features, all peoples were warriors so they faced each other. Tribal warfare was more focused on raids and hunting that on organized territorial conquest, devoid of military science. The weapons were almost sacred to the ancient Celts. Viking Sword Erik The Red
Erik Thorvaldsson (950 – c. 1003), known as Erik the Red was a Norwegian Viking, remembered in medieval and Icelandic saga sources as having founded the first Norse settlement in Greenland. The Icelandic tradition indicates that he was born in the Jæren district of Rogaland, Norway, as the son of Þorvald Ásvaldsson, he therefore also appears, patronymically, as Erik Thorvaldsson (Eiríkr Þorvaldsson). The appellation "the Red" most likely refers to his hair color and the color of his beard.Erik the Red's father was banished from Norway for the crime of manslaughter. He sailed West from Norway with his family and settled in Hornstrandir in northwestern Iceland. After marrying Thjodhild (Þjóðhildr), Erik moved to Haukadal (Hawksdale) where he built a farm. Erik then moved to the island of Öxney (Iceland).Popular history credits Erik as the first person to discover Greenland: according to records from the time, Galti headed the first Norse attempt to colonize Greenland, which ended in disaster. Erik the Red was the first permanent European settler. When Erik returned to Iceland after his exile had expired, he is said to have brought with him stories of "Greenland". Erik deliberately gave the land a more appealing name than "Iceland" in order to lure potential settlers. He explained, "people would be attracted to go there if it had a favorable name"After spending the winter in Iceland, Erik returned to Greenland in 985 with a large number of colonists and established two colonies on its southwest coast. The settlement flourished, growing to 5000 inhabitants spread over a considerable area along Eriksfjord and neighboring fjords.Medieval Icelandic tradition relates that Erik the Red and his wife Þjóðhildr (Thjodhildr) had four children: a daughter and three sons. Erik himself remained a follower of Norse paganism, unlike his son Leif and Leif's wife, who became Christians. After being baptized by king Olaf Tryggvason, Leif brought message of Christianity to Greenland, becoming something of an evangelist. While his wife took heartily to the religion, even commissioning Greenland's first church, Erik greatly disliked the faith and stuck to his Norse Gods.Erik fell off his horse on his way to the ship and took this as a bad sign, leaving his son, Leif Erikson, to continue to explore the land of Vinland (part of North America. Erik died the winter after his son's departure. Overall: 92 cm/36 inches Width: 10,5 cm Weight: 1,9 kg

Colada Cid Sword - Forging
Colada is one of the two best-known swords, along with Tizona, of El Cid Campeador. Won in combat from the Count of Barcelona, the sword was presented (along with Tizona) to his sons in law. According to the heroic verses of the Cantar de Mío Cid, after his sons-in-law beat his daughters and then abandoned them on the side of the road, El Cid asked for his gifts to be returned. Afterward, he bestowed the sword upon one of his knights, Martín Antolínez.Though its authenticity is doubted, a blade named Colada and traditionally identified with that of El Cid, with the addition of a 16th-century hilt, is preserved in the Royal Palace of Madrid.According to Sebastián de Covarrubias, Colada clearly means a sword made from "acero colado", a process of alloyed steel without impurities. As with Tizona, Colada appears in the epic poem Cantar de mio Cid as a sword that frightens unworthy opponents if wielded by a brave warrior. El Cid gives the sword to Martín Antolínez as a present, and he uses it in the duel against the infante Diego González.“Tizona” and “Colada” both swords belonged to the Castilian knight Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, known as “EL CID CAMPEADOR” in the XI century.Noble and soldier Castilian, which at the head of his own army managed to dominate practically all the East of the Iberian Peninsula at the end of the 11th century. He personified the knight's prototype with the maximum virtues, fort and loyalist, justly and bravely, prudently and moderately, fighting and educated, and faithful vassal of his King Alfonso VI, together with him they conquered Toledo, and subsequently he conquered the city and the Kingdom of Valencia to the Arabians.Replica of the Colada Cid Sword. Tizona Cid Sword
Tizona is the name of the sword carried by Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid, which was used to fight the Moors in Spain according to the “Cantar de Mío Cid”. The name Tizón translates to burning stick, firebrand.A sword identified with Tizona is on display at the Burgos Museum, in Burgos. The Tizona, or Tizón, is one of the swords (together with La Colada) attributed to El Cid in Spanish literature. According to the Cantar de Mio Cid, El Cid won the sword from its previous owner, King Yucef in Valencia. Afterward, it was gifted by El Cid to his sons-in-law, the Infantes de Carrión but eventually returned into the possession of El Cid.There exist various Tizonas which have been attributed to El Cid. One of these figured in the treasure stock of the regent house of Castilla that was transferred by Álvaro de Luna, recovered in 1452 and placed in an inventory of the Alcázar of Segovia: "a sword called Tizona, that belonged to El Cid..." This sword was ceremonial, owing to its adornment (which reflects its Castillian heraldry)After the Spanish Civil War, the sword that belonged to the Marquis of Falces and was later deposited in the Madrid Army Museum was moved to its new site in the Alcázar of Toledo. It was finally acquired in 2007 by the Castile and León It was expected that its final destination would be the same cathedral that houses the tomb of El Cid and his wife Jimena along with other items related to El Cid.In the heroic poem Cantar de Mio Cid, Tizona's power depends on the wielder and it frightens unworthy opponents. When the infantes of Carrión have Tizona, they underestimate the power of the sword, due to their cowardice, but when Pero Vermúdez is going to fight Ferrán González and unsheathes Tizona (given as a present from El Cid), Ferrán González yells and surrenders, cowering in terror at the sight of Tizona. Halberd

Freemasons Sword
Freemasonry, a worldwide fraternal organization, often calls itself "a peculiar system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols." Its members are joined together by high ideals, of both a moral and metaphysical nature (and, in the majority of branches, by a common belief in a Supreme Being). Freemasonry is an "esoteric art," in that certain aspects of its internal work are not generally revealed to the public. Masons give numerous reasons for this, one of which is that Freemasonry uses an initiatory system of degrees to explore ethical and philosophical issues, and this system is less effective if the observer knows beforehand what will happen. Charles III Sword
Charles III was the King of Spain and the Spanish Indies from 1759 to 1788. He was son of Philip V of Spain and Elisabeth Farnese. As Duke of Parma and Piacenza conquered the kingdoms of Naples and of Sicily, and was crowned king on 1735, reigning as Charles VII of Naples and Charles V of Sicily. He married Princess Maria Amalia of Saxony. As king of Spain Charles III tried to rescue his empire from decay through far-reaching reforms such as weakening the Church and its monasteries, promoting science and university research, facilitating trade and commerce, modernizing agriculture and avoiding wars. He never achieved satisfactory control over finances, and was obliged to borrow to meet expenses. His reforms proved short-lived and Spain relapsed after his death, but his legacy lives on to this day.Historian Stanley Payne states Charles III:"Was probably the most successful European ruler of his generation. He had provided firm, consistent, intelligent leadership. He had chosen capable ministers....[his] personal life had won the respect of the people. He was a man of an extraordinary dynamism and enterprising spirit, promoted the economic and cultural growth of the country.Founder of the Royal Factory of Weapon of Toledo; he promoted a lot of important architectural work, and got the modernization of the capital, by what he is known as “The best Mayor of Madrid".The first matter that should have treated on having acceded to the reign of Spain was the war of Seven Years to stop the British expansion in America and, later he collaborated in the independence of The United States of America. Tizona Cid Sword, Gold, 100 cm
Tizona is the name of the sword carried by Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid, which was used to fight the Moors in Spain according to the Cantar de Mio Cid. The name Tizón translates to burning stick, firebrand.A sword identified with Tizona is on display at the Museo de Burgos, in Burgos. The Tizona, or Tizón, is one of the swords (together with La Colada) attributed to El Cid in Spanish literature. According to the Cantar de Mio Cid, El Cid won the sword from its previous owner, King Yucef in Valencia. Afterward, it was gifted by El Cid to his sons-in-law, the Infantes de Carrión but eventually returned into the possession of El Cid.Similar to the other sword attributed to El Cid, La Colada, there exists little historical evidence verifying the existence of a sword named Tizona belonging to Rodrigo Díaz.There exist various Tizonas which have been attributed to El Cid. One of these figured in the treasure stock of the regent house of Castilla that was transferred by Álvaro de Luna. This sword was ceremonial, owing to its adornment (which reflects its Castillian heraldry)Another presumed Tizona belonged to the Marqueses de Falces, to whom the sword was given by Fernando II of Aragon. that is currently on display in the Museum of Burgos alongside other presumed relics of El Cid. Roman Dagger - Gold Finish
The Romans are known to have borrowed ideas on weapons of their enemies. Initially they used weapons of Etruscan and Greek style or, when confronted with the Celts, adopted their equipment. To defeat the Carthaginians built a fleet based on the Carthaginian model. Once a weapon is adopted it was standard. The weapons changed over the history of Rome, although its equipment and its use were never individual. Almost all Roman swords and daggers were double-edged, and could be used for both cutting and threading. The pugio was a small dagger used by the ancient Roman soldiers possibly as an auxiliary weapon. Like other equipment of the Legionnaires, the dagger had a series of changes throughout I century. Generally had a long blade and leaf-shaped, between 18 and 28 centimeters long and 5 centimeters or more across. It was ideal for threading; a good rush can pierce a chainmail weapon. Many influential men fought under him (including Francisco Pizarro's father), and he was admired by the generation of conquistadors which followed.De Córdoba was born at Montilla in what is now the province of Córdoba, the son of Pedro Fernández de Córdoba (Count of Aguilar) and his wife Elvira de Herrera. Those voyages, and his efforts to establish permanent settlements on the island of Hispaniola, initiated the European colonization of the New World.Though Columbus was not the first European explorer to reach the Americas, his voyages led to the first lasting European contact with the Americas, inaugurating a period of European exploration, conquest, and colonization that lasted for several centuries. His strained relationship with the Spanish crown and its appointed colonial administrators in America led to his arrest and dismissal as governor of the settlements on the island of Hispaniola in 1500.Wise geographer and sailor, he conceived his Project of exploring the Indies mailing westwards; this project, offered to several crowns and fortunes of Europe, caused a great mistrust. Colada Cid Sword
He personified the knight's prototype with the maximum virtues, fort and loyalist, justly and bravely, prudently and moderately, fighting and educated, and faithful vassal of his King Alfonso VI, together with him they conquered Toledo, and subsequently he conquered the city and the Kingdom of Valencia to the Arabians.Excellent Replica of the Colada Cid Sword. Inmortal Katana
Historically, katana were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords that were used by the samurai of feudal Japan. The first use of "katana" as a word to describe a long sword that was different from a tachi occurs as early as the Kamakura Period (1185–1333).The katana was often paired with a similar smaller companion sword, such as a wakizashi or it could also be worn with the tantō, a smaller, similarly shaped dagger. The pairing of a katana with a smaller sword is called the daishō. Only samurai could wear the daisho: it represented the social power and personal honor of the samurai. The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Tizona Cid Small Sword
This sword was ceremonial, owing to its adornment (which reflects its Castillian heraldry)Another presumed Tizona belonged to the Marqueses de Falces, to whom the sword was given by Fernando II of Aragon. that is currently on display in the Museum of Burgos alongside other presumed relics of El Cid.The sword at Burgos is 103 centimetres (41 in) long and weighs 1.1 kilograms (2.4 lb). Tizona was supposedly forged in Córdoba, though considerable amounts of Damascus steel can be found in its blade.Overall: 75 cm / 30 inches

Medieval armor helmet
The large helmet, also called the cube or barrel helmet, is a type of helmet from the High Middle Ages that was created in the late twelfth century in the context of the Crusades and was in use until the fourteenth century. It was used by knights and heavy infantry in most European armies (1220 and 1540 AD).In its simplest form, the large helmet was a cylinder, the upper part of which was made of flat steel and completely covered the head. It had tiny openings for its eyes and mouth.Years later, the upper part developed into a conical shape and the "Sugar Loaf" was created. In Spanish it was called the helmet of Zaragoza, based on the city where they were first introduced on the Iberian Peninsula. It was later used in the reconquest and it is recorded in the conquest of Mallorca.Although the large helmet provided superior protection to other earlier helmets, such as the nose helmet and spangle helmet, the knight's peripheral vision was limited, it was heavier, and its shape with a flat roof and no ventilation holes provided little ventilation. and they warmed up quickly in hot climates. The knights wore the large helmet on one touch (hood), sometimes combined with a tight-fitting iron cap known as a cervelliere. The large helmet was often blackened, varnished or painted and decorated with the following: • Crosses and symbols (ventilation zones) • Horizontal and vertical crosses (viewfinder) • Crowns, feathers, feathers (as in the helmets of the military order).

Atlantean
Conan the Barbarian is a literary character created by Robert E. Howard in a series of fantasy pulp stories published in Weird Tales in the 1930s.The Conan stories take place on Earth, but in the mythical (created by Howard) "Hyborian Age", between the time of the sinking of Atlantis and the rise of the known ancient civilizations. Howard was a friend of H. P. Lovecraft, and the two would sometimes insert references to elements of each others' settings in their works; the Conan stories thus could be said to have originally occurred in the Cthulhu Mythos universe. Modern editors have since reworked many of the original Conan stories, however, diluting this connection.Length 102 cm Blade 72 cmWeight 3.72 kgBlade Material: AISI 420 SteelThe matching sheath for the Conan Atlantean sword can be found in our shop under the number 88336.
