An OTF knife, compact and dynamic - sounds too good to be legal? Boker makes it possible and presents with the Boker Plus Micro USB OTF an OTF automatic knife (Out of The Front) with a 41 mm long utility blade that complies with German law. This is made possible by the classification of the BKA (file number SO13-2022-36166803; more at www.boker.de), under which the knife is not considered a weapon according to §1 para. 2b due to its small blade dimensions. According to the BKA's classification, the Boker Plus Micro USB OTF is covered by $42a of the WaffG and is thus subject to the usual carry restriction on one-handed knives. As a handy automatic knife, the little genius quotes the characteristic design of common USB sticks and relies on bite instead of bytes: cardboard boxes, packaging or ropes are effortlessly cut through by the cutting blade made of D2. The switchblade knife has a slide on the front of the handle that allows the blade to come out of the handle with an energetic click and then discreetly disappear again when pressed again. Thanks to this practical one-handed operation, small everyday cutting tasks are completed in almost no time at all.The elegant satin finish of the blade harmonises perfectly with the blue handle made of CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium and the robust tip-down (r) clip. Thanks to the lanyard hole, the knife is also ideal for carrying on a key ring.

The slim Boker Plus Urban Spillo Flipjoint combines the popular flipper opening with a well thought-out slipjoint mechanism and can thus be easily carried in public. The ball-bearing 440C Spearpoint blade is provided with a robust stonewash finish and is discreetly held in place by a detent ball once opened. Although the small ball effectively prevents unintentional spring-back of the swing-open blade, the resistance can be effortlessly overcome when closing the knife by hand. The milled handle body is made of skeletonised stainless steel and also has a stonewash finish. It does without additional liners and is held together by black handle bolts, while a brass-coloured ring around the pivot screw adds a visual accent. With lanyard hole and clip (tip-up/r).

Timeless engineering combined with experienced history! Inspired by a true classic of the air, Boker Plus presents the ME 109 Damascus as a collector's knife with exceptional character. Based on the Messerschmitt BF-109 (often referred to as ME-109), the knife incorporates the material, shape and colour of the fighter plane from the 1930s and thus creates almost a replica of its historical model.Between 1935 and 1945, some 34,000 examples of the low-wing aircraft were launched, making it one of the most frequently built military aircraft in the world to this day. The special features of the Messerschmitt ME 109 are its all-metal construction of fuselage and wings, the retractable landing gear and the closed cockpit. These achievements were considered groundbreaking at the time, giving the German Air Force strategic advantages in air combat. The special design made higher loads possible, which allowed higher speeds, dizzying altitudes and aggressive turning and evasive manoeuvres. The massive V12 Daimler Benz engine produced around 1000 hp, depending on the model series, and enabled top speeds of 560 km/h and more. The single-engine propeller plane was armed with two MG-17 machine guns (calibre 7.92 mm) above the engine and two MG-FF machine guns (calibre 20 mm) on the wings. It was not least the unmistakable lines of the Messerschmitt ME 109 that prompted Boker's development department to undertake this exciting project. The challenge was to transfer the design language and performance of the fighter plane to a knife without sacrificing elegance and practicality. The heart of the Boker Plus ME 109 is its striking damascus blade, which was forged by none other than the damascus virtuoso Chad Nichols. The steel used for it comes from the salvaged wreckage of a Messerschmitt ME 109 Type E (Emil), which was shot down by the Royal Air Force near Ashford in the county of Kent during the Battle of Britain. Parts of the armour and crankshaft provide the ideal basis for the production of a high-strength Damascus steel. The wave-like "wave-pool" pattern of the 80-layer damascus is reminiscent of wake turbulences, the often visible air turbulence behind flying aircraft. In the side view, the drop-point blade has some visual reminiscences of the historic fighter plane. The rear part of the blade is designed as a cockpit, which has been beautifully realised by partially raising the back of the blade as well as specific recesses and jimpings. Further highlights are the nail nicks in the front area of the blade spine, which are modelled on the two MG-17 machine guns above the engine, as well as the opened flipper, which is based on the extended landing gear. When open, the blade merges seamlessly into the handle of the pocket knife, which underlines the visual realisation in true detail. The front handle scales are made of carbon fibre from FAT Carbon and feature the "Toxic Storm" pattern. This patchy camouflage pattern in the colours yellow, green and black was typical for the aircraft of the German Air Force at the time. Extreme reliability is promised by the Titan framelock, which holds the blade securely in place even during difficult work. Despite its clear lines, the handle lies comfortably in the hand thanks to ergonomic recesses. The titanium clip is milled from the solid and allows for deep-carry (tip-up/r), while the lanyard hole allows for further attachment options. The Boker Plus ME 109 Damascus is a tribute to the pioneering work of Wilhelm Emil Messerschmitt and incorporates the original meaning of the name (Messerschmitt - cutler) in a fitting manner. A must for all knife collectors and friends of historic aircraft.

The innovative Boker Titan Hunter is equipped with a blade made of Cronidur-30, a special steel from NASA's Space Shuttle. The high-nitrogen alloy steel was developed in Germany and has proven itself in the particularly demanding space industry. After intensive hardness tests, the steel with a hardness of 58-60 HRC was selected by the NASA and was successfully used in the particularly stressed components of the Space Shuttle.Compared to comparable steels, Cronidur-30 has over a hundred times improved corrosion resistance, which extends the service life of the steel by five times. The steel alloy is particularly fine-grained, very easy to sharpen and has high elasticity with excellent edge retention. As the leading manufacturer of sports and collectors knives in Europe, Boker has exclusive worldwide rights to use Cronidur-30 in this product segment.Solid titanium bolsters and 2.5 millimetre thick titanium plates provide the Boker Titan Hunter with unbelievable stability and yet moderate weight. For the 2021 Annual Damascus Collector's Knife we have chosen the popular Boker Trapper Uno, which is a perfect everyday companion due to its extremely narrow design and which owes its name to the American Rangers of the settler era. In the traditional version, the knife is equipped with upper and lower bolsters, whereas the Trapper Uno goes without the bolsters at the end of the handle. The noble collector's version is equipped with a blade of stainless Damascus by Chad Nichols, forged by hand in the Ripple pattern. It is opened by nail nick and does not lock. The unusual handle scales are made of domestic blue-stabilized curly maple wood, which has a unique striped transverse pattern. In combination with the decorative brass bolsters, this creates the colours of the city of Solingen. The bolster on the front of the knife also features the well-known city coat of arms. While two crossed swords are intended to emphasise the importance of the City of Blades as the place of origin of high-quality cutlery, the anchor is considered the symbol of St. Clement, who has been venerated as the patron saint of the city since the 10th century. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen and strictly limited to 999 pieces worldwide. With noble floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.Ten euro of the proceeds from each knife sold will be donated to to the Kinderschutzbund Solingen, which has been actively supporting needy children and parents in our city for over 40 years.
