The story of Devil may Cry begins with Mundus and Sparda, two demons who are equally evil. 2000 years ago, demon king Mundus wanted to conquer the world of humans. But Sparda, one of his officers, felt pity for the humans. He formed an army of demons to fight against his king and to stop the demons’ advance into the world of humans. During the fight between the two armies, Sparda attacked his king, won and threw him back into the world of demons. He sealed the gate to the demon world. Later Sparda gave all his power to his two sons Dante and Vergil. Dante was a quick-tempered rebel who didn’t care about anyone’s opinion but saved the humans from any demon attacks.
