Anglo-Saxon Scramasax
A scramseax (also scramsax, scramseaxe, scramaseax, scramasax, scramaseaxe and sometimes referred to as simply scram, seax or sax) was a type of Germanic single-edged knife. Scramseax seem to have been used for warfare and as a tool. They occur in a size range from 2.9" to 29.5". The larger ones (langseax) were probably weapons, the smaller ones (hadseax) tools, intermediate sized ones serving a dual purpose. Wearing a scramseax may have been indicative of freemanship. The scramseax was worn in a horizontal sheath at the front of the belt. Scram refers to food and seax to a blade (so, "food knife"). There is some debate about the authenticity of the longer word scramseax. The Saxons may have derived their name from seax (the implement for which they were known) in much the same way that the Franks were named for their francisca. This claim is largely supported by the appearance of scramaseaxes in early Saxon heraldry. The Generation2 version is based off a 6th century version. The Blade is 5160 tempered carbon steel with a darkwood handle. The tang is peened over top the metal end cap of the handle. A hand stiched Leather scabbard is included. This dagger comes with a sharp blade. Blade length: 12 1/2" Overall length: 19 1/8" Balance Point: 1 1/2" Below steel band. Weight: 1 lbs. 4 oz.

"Maintz" Roman Gladius Sword
Another winning Generation 2 design. Most Early versions of the Roman Gladius were wasp waisted with a long point that combined cutting power and stabbing ability in one handy weapon. Early Roman Swords from the first century b.c. display a 'waisting' of the blade to improve balance and a long, narrow point. Even later versions (like the Pompeii pattern) were not waisted and also had a shorter point but were just as effective - and easier to make. Both swords served side-by-side for many years and it was not uncommon to find 4th century Legionnaires carrying either models. The gladius is known as "the sword that conquered the world". It features a full tang construction, high carbon blade, hard wood handle. High polished steel spacer at the bottom of the handle for strength and durability. A leather scabbard is included. Knights Templar Crusader Dagger
The First Crusade was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II with the dual goals of liberating the sacred city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land from Muslims and freeing the Eastern Christians from Muslim rule. The Second Crusade was launched in 1147 under the Kings Louis VII and Conrad III respectively, but failed to win any major victories, launching a failed pre-emptive siege of Damascus, an independent city that would soon fall into the hands of Nur ad-Din, the main enemy of the Crusaders .The Third Crusade was issued by Gregory VIII in 1187, after Jerusalem had been recaptured by the armies of Islam under Saladin. Philip and Richard with their armies, departing only in July, 1190, crossed the sea and, after stops at Sicily and Cyprus, landed at Acre—Philip in April and Richard in June—where they joined the siege, and the city surrendered in July, 1191. Philip departed for France in August, leaving Richard in control. The terms of the surrender of Acre included a prisoner exchange and the return, by Saladin, of the True Cross, which he had captured with Jerusalem in 1187. Gen 2 used the 12th Century dagger to make this dagger because of its simple cruciform design and also because it was used by many European countries. Viking Sword from the River Witham
Viking Sword - Tenth Century A.D. - The original sword was dredged up from the river Witham. "This sword is one that I have wanted to copy for years. There have been several attempts, but none have completely satisfactory. Adequate, yes, but not truly satisfying. At least until this one. Several years ago I had the chance to visit Sweden and Gotland to look at Viking artifacts as well as the remains from the Battle of Visby. One thing that I noticed, but have not encountered in any works on the Viking sword, is that the Swedish swords all seem to be a bit large than those I saw in Norway and Denmark. Of course it could have been just luck that the ones I saw in Sweden were larger, I have no way of knowing. But this sword could easily qualify as a Swedish sword. The blade is 77.8 cm, and is slightly over 6cm wide, and the balance point is about 16 cm. from the grip. This is a true warrior´s sword, the weight is about 3 pounds, but the balance is superb. The cutting power of the sword is quite impressive and I can easily see it being wielded by Skarp-Hedin or Egil Skallagrimson. Hand forged, high carbon steel." Hank Reinhardt The blade of this sword is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel and hand tempered. The pommel and cross guard is also solid carbon steel with copper diamond inlays, then highly polished. The handle is wood wrapped in leather. Sword also includes a wood scabbard wrapped in leather with steel accents at throat and tip. Includes an 11"x17" Signed copy of drawing from Hank Reinhardt with each sword ordered. This sword features polished steel pommel and crossguard with Copper Diamonds. Legacy Arms Hospitaller Sword - designed by Bruce Brookhart
Reminiscent of a time when honor, courage and loyalty along with vows, oaths and duty were bound to flesh and enforced in steel. Hold the Brookhart Hospitaller Sword and Dagger in your hands and allow your spirit to be whisked away to Jerusalem in the 11th century. The embossed cross on your sheath shows your pledge to the Hospitaller knights donning a back surcoat with a white cross on the chest. Well balanced, the 33 1/4" high carbon steel blade thrusts easily on foot or from horseback while the fuller lightens the blade for swift cuts while weaving your blade in combat. Counter balanced by the solid round steel pommel, the textured leather handle becomes one with your body and extension of your will. The arched hilt and quillons are classic in design of this type of cruciform sword and appropriate for kneeling in prayer. The accompanying Hospitaller Dagger complements the sword nicely while the 12 3/4" high carbon steel blade makes for a deadly close-quarters weapon. Both sword and dagger are concealed in black leather wrapped wood core sheaths for secure carry. Each piece represents a symbol of your fidelity to the order and the oath to protect the innocent, punish the wicked and help the ailing. About the Knights Hospitaller The Knight Hospitallers are the third of the best know Monastic Orders that fought in the Holy Lands. The Cistercian order wore a Black Surcoat with a White Cross centered. Founded as a healing order, they could often fill the position of a battlefield medic. After the ranks of the Knight Templers were decimated, at least in the Holy Land, at the Battle of Hattin, the Hospitallers stepped in to shore-up Richard the Lionhearts forces during the Third Crusade. This was fortuitous for King Richard in as much as King Phillip II of France fell-out with Richard and withdrew from the Crusade after the Battle of Acre. Twisted handle Scottish Dirk
The early Scottish dirk was a direct descendent of the medieval ballock dagger. The grip form began to change, probably sometime in the 16th century, but soon developed a form that was purely Scottish. The later versions that are quite popular, are somewhat debased in form, and not the pure fighting weapon of the early version. And make no mistake about it... this dirk was a pure fighting knife, and unabashedly so. The Generation2 version is made from a 1 piece solid handle hand carved to look like twisted wood, with brass accents. The blade is made from 5160 tempered carbon steel, fully tanged. The scabbard is wood wrapped in leather. This dagger comes with a sharp blade. Blade length: 12" Overall length: 18 1/4" Balance Point: At Ricasso Weight: 1 lbs. 8.5 oz.

Legacy Arms Templar Sword - Designed by Bruce Brookhart
First formed as "THE POOR KNIGHTS OF CHRIST" to guard the passage of Pilgrims on the route to the Holy Land, they took as their symbol two knights mounted on a thin horse. After the fall of Jerusalem to Christen forces in the First Crusade they took the Temple as their headquarters and the militant Monastic Order called themselves "THE POOR KNIGHTS OF THE TEMPLE OF JERUSALEM", which was soon shortened by others to simply "THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR". These deeply devoted Monks were known as fierce fighters when pitted against the "Infidels" of the region. Fighting below a pure white banner to represent their purity and chastity or a white banner with the upper quarter black to also show the frailty of man, the Order grew into a powerful force across all of Europe. The blade of this sword is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel and hand tempered. The blade is then securely peened onto the pommel. The contoured handle is wood, wrapped in black leather. Legacy Arms Templar Companion Dagger - by Bruce Brookhart
First formed as "THE POOR KNIGHTS OF CHRIST" to guard the passage of Pilgrims on the route to the Holy Land, they took as their symbol two knights mounted on a thin horse. After the fall of Jerusalem to Christen forces in the First Crusade they took the Temple as their head quarters and the militant Monastic Order called themselves "THE POOR KNIGHTS OF THE TEMPLE OF JERUSALEM", which was soon shortened by other to simply "THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR". These deeply devoted Monks were known as fierce fighters when pitted against the "Infidels" of the region. Fighting below a pure white banner to represent their purity and chastity or a white banner with the upper quarter black to also show the frailty of man, the Order grew into a powerful force across all of Europe. The blade of this dagger is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel and hand tempered. The blade is then securely peened onto the pommel. The contoured handle is wood, wrapped in black leather. 12th Century Sword
A well known leading expert on medieval swords comments that the original could be from as early as 1100 to as late as 1250. And we trust that he should know. The pommel, a faceted wheel, is a shape encountered in the Leppaho Viking swords, a group of swords excavated from Viking graves dating from 980-1000. The crossguard is of an early form, which the Vikings referred to as Gaddhjalt [spike hilt]. The blade is designed for the cutting style of fighting used during this period and has a fuller running 2/3 the length of the blade. This version features: A hardwood handle, wrapped in leather. The cross guard and pommel are solid steel, polished and fitted onto a full tang that is peened at top of the pommel for strength and durability. And is how many of the originals were fitted. The scabbard is made from wood then wrapped in leather with a solid steel end cap. This sword comes with a sharp blade. Blade length: 34.5" Handle/Hilt length: 5.9" Overall: 43" Balance Point: 5.5" Below Hilt Weight: 3 lbs. 6 oz.

Templar Knight Sword
Knights Templar or the Order of the Temple (French: Ordre du Temple or Templiers), were among the most famous of the Western Christian military orders. The organization existed for approximately two centuries in the Middle Ages. It was founded in the aftermath of the First Crusade of 1096, to ensure the safety of the many Europeans who made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem after its conquest.Officially endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church in 1129, the Order became a favored charity across Europe and grew rapidly in membership and power. Templar knights in their distinctive white mantles with red cross were among the best fighting units of the Crusades. Non-combatant members of the Order managed a large economic infrastructure throughout Christendom, inventing or adapting many financial techniques that were an early form of banking, and building many fortifications across Europe and the Holy Land. The Templars' success was tied closely to the Crusades; when the Crusaders suffered defeat and lost the Holy Land, support for the Order faded. Rumors about the Templars' secret initiation ceremony created mistrust, and King Philip IV of France, deeply in debt to the Order, began pressuring Pope Clement V to take action. In 1307, King Philip had many of the Order's members in France arrested, tortured into giving false confessions, and burned at the stake. In 1312, Pope Clement V, under continuing pressure from King Philip, disbanded the Order. The abrupt disappearance of a major part of the European infrastructure gave rise to speculation and legends, which have kept the "Templar" name alive until the present. SPECIFICATIONS Overall: 42 1/2" Blade Length: 34 1/2" Handle Length: 6" Weight: 2 lbs 15 oz Point of Balance: 6" Thickness at Guard: 5.7mm Thickness at Tip: 4mm Blade Steel: 5160

Excalibur - The Sword of Power
Excalibur Sword - The legendary sword of King Arthur son of Uther and Igrain. The Legend has it that it was magically embedded in a stone and only the truest of knights could remove it, and so, be king. Excalibur served Arthur well until his great battle with his arch enemy Modrid (who just happens to have also been his son), the culmination of which saw the great sword returned to the Lady of the Lake. Could you be the next Arthur? Now we're not saying that we were able to make a deal with the Lady of the Lake, but if your wife or girlfriend is named Guinevere, just imagine the possibilities. Our new and refined Legacy Arms Excalibur Sword keeps all the accoutrements of the original but we've honed the specifications to where its a better balanced and usable sword. The blade is made of strong high carbon steel with a peened through tang. The handle is wood core with a beautiful stainless steel twisted wire wrapping.
