Tatami Omote - high quality
This mat is made from rice straw and can be used for the traditional japanese cutting test tameshigiri. The mat has a dimension of 180*70-90cm. The mats come loose in a bag. This tatami omote is the high quality. After our experiences in cutting tatami omote during the last years we have decided to offer different qualities of tatami omote. By this we can make sure that each and every cutting customers will be satisfied. The experienced cutter can buy and cut this mat without any problems. The advantages are obvious :- not pre rolled, can be rolled individually- high density, high withstood when cutting- challenging to cut - can be rolled up to 7 or more times into each other in order to make big targetsWe recommend this tatami omote to all customers practicing tameshigiri on a regular basic, to everybody who is looking for a hard to cut target and to every martial arts practicioner who wants to check his technique. When you compare the 2 kinds of tatami omote, basic and high quality, then you will quickly realize that the basic quality tatami omote has only half the withstood the high quality has. Or in other words to say, the high quality is twice the hard to cut as the basic quality. The reason for this lies directly in the structure of the omote. The high quality has a much higher density than the basic quality. If you want to order larger quantities than 200 mats please ask for our offer.

Gold Lion Katana
The Cold Steel Gold Lion Katana represents a Samurai’s “every day carry sword” for personal protection, and the defense of his Lord, his family and his home. Significantly lighter than some of our other heavier-duty Katana, it is not only faster in-hand, but easier and more comfortable to carry when tucked into an Obi and worn all day. The Katana’s Menuki bears the symbol of the Japanese Shisa (Lion Dog) a guardian or protector - a fitting motif for this beautiful lightweight sword. Measuring just under thirty inches, the Gold Lion Katana’s blade is made from expertly hand honed and highly polished Damascus steel, with a Hamaguri grind, peaked Iori Mune spine and undulating clay-tempered Hamon. The black iron Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira all have gleaming 24 carat gold leaf accents and the handle features white ray-skin and a black silk cord wrap. Specifications: Blade Length: 30" Blade Thick: 6mm Overall Length: 41 1/4" Steel: Damascus Weight: 28.7 oz Handle: 11 1/4" Samé (Ray Skin) Handle w/ Black Braid Cord w/ Brass Menuki Scabbard: Black Lacquered Wood Scabbard

Honshu Boshin Hellfire Damascus Wakizashi
A modern legend, the Honshu Boshin Hellfire Damascus Wakizashi fuses proven, time-honored tradition with the best in 21st century innovation. Chic contemporary style and state-of-the-art appointments meld seamlessly with classic form and traditional hand-craftsmanship. Even the Damascus steel - a distinctive hand forged variety with centuries-old roots - is reimagined and reworked for an exciting new look: the boldly hued "Hellfire Damascus Steel." Trading delicate, traditional trappings like ray skin and cord for tough, ultramodern materials like TPR, the Boshin is designed for serious, real-world use. It's remarkably well-balanced and an all-around pleasure to wield, and it boasts savage cutting power that's second to none. The imposing wakizashi blade is rock-solid and impossibly sharp, slicing cleanly through rolled tatami mats, thick bamboo and other tenacious materials – suffering neither crack nor fissure in the process. Details: Blade length: 57 cm Total length: 86 cm Weight: 1.58 kg

John Lee Shirasaya Tanto
Shirasaya refers to a special sword mount, which was formerly used for the gentle keeping of the blade. Especially in times of peace the blades were ideal protected stored in it. The unvarnished Magnolia wood absorbs the moisture inside the sheath, leads it to the outside and thus protects against rust. Many Shirasaya were provided with a "Sayagaki", an inscription, which gave information on smith, origin and classification. On the streets of Japan, the inconspicuous gear without handle and guard, especially in the late 19th Century was used because at that time the Emperor banned the carrying of Samurai swords. The Shirasaya mount, which was similar to a wooden sword or wooden stick was a clever way to wear the sword unnoticed. An extra large Tanto which is obviously longer than other models with its length of approx. 57 cm Blade in Shinogi Zukuri style with fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged from 1045 carbon steel. The blade is sharp grounded with incorporated Hamon-line for a very authentic look. Wooden scabbard. With long tang, which is fixed with two bamboo pins (Mekugi) in the handle. The sword is thus fully demountable. Without plastic, only high-quality and authentic materials are used. Blade clamp (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass. The traditional handle wrapping is lined with genuine ray skin. All decorations (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are handmade from metal. A protective case made of fabric, a John Lee seal and a certificate are within the scope of supply. Details: Overall length: approx. 55 cm Blade length: approx. 34 cm Handle length: approx. 21 cm Blade Material: 1045 Carbon Steel Weight (without sheath): approx. 480 g
