Product information "English pistol "Pepperbox" percussion, 1815 London"
Reproduction of 6 barrels pepper-box revolver made of metal and wooden grips with firing mechanism and rotating gun.

The pepper-box revolver or simply pepperbox (also "pepper-pot", from its resemblance to the household pepper grinder) is a multiple-barrel repeating firearm that has three or more barrels grouped around a central axis.

It mostly appears in the form of a multi-shot handheld firearm. Pepperboxes exist in all ammunition systems: matchlock, wheellock, flintlock, percussion, pinfire, rimfire and centerfire.

The pepperbox was invented in the 1830s and was mainly aimed at the civilian market. Its employment spread rapidly and was popular in the United States from the 1830s until the Civil War.

A unique and exclusive piece that any collector will love to have.

Deringer pistol, brass colored, plastic, Philadelphia, USA 1862
Reproduction of a percussion pistol, made of metal and plastic imitation wooden stock, with simulated loading and firing mechanism. The Deringer Philadelphia was a muzzle-loading pocket pistol, designed by Henry Deringer (1786-1868) and produced from 1852 to 1868. This weapon, with a single shot, had a percussion-ignition system, it was used for very short distances. Very often they used to be sold in pairs; this fact was due to compensate the limited power of a single-barreled short gun and its poor reliability.Because of its great availability, the Deringer became very popular, initially among military officers and later among civilians who wished to have a small and easy-to-hide gun for self-defense; they also had the dubious reputation for being the favorite weapon of killers and poker players. In 1865, Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd attended a performance at the Ford theater. When Lincoln sat in the box, John Wilkes Booth, a Maryland actor, resident in Virginia and Southern supporter, appeared from behind and fired a single shot with a round Deringer bullet at the president's head and shouted "Sic semper tyrannis"! (Latin expression that means "this way always to the tyrants", which is the motto of the state of Virginia).Abraham Lincoln (Hodgenville, Kentucky, February 12, 1809 - Washington DC, April 15, 1865) was the sixteenth president of the United States of America from March 1861 until his murder in April 1865. Lincoln led the United States during the Secession War, the bloodiest conflict and perhaps also the greatest moral, constitutional and political crisis that the American nation has suffered. At the same time, it preserved the Union, abolished slavery, strengthened the federal government and modernized the economy.Feel part of American history with the DENIX reproduction of this Deringer! Four-barreled flintlock pistol France 18th century
Reproduction of 3 barrel flintlock pistol made in metal and simulated engrave ivory grips with simulating mechanism of loading and firing. The flintlock pistols had the blistering of a flint or flint stone, which when the hammer was triggered, it produced the spark that ignited the gun powder. All these pistols required the manual recharge of their ammunition after each shot. The ammunition, which was introduced through the mouth of the barrel, consisted of gunpowder, projectile and paper wad, which served as a cap to keep the two previous ones compressed inside the barrel. These pistols were used as self-defense weapons until the middle of the 19th century. Their effective range was short and often they were used as a complement to a sword or knife. Flintlock pistols were prone to many problems compared to modern weapons, due to moisture or accidental shots. In combat, usually these weapons were used for a single shot, since the method of reloading was very slow and it was not usually time enough to recharge. Therefore the fighters after firing were forced to draw their sabers or swords or to use the pistol as a blackjack, since the circumstances did not allow to recharge them in time.Relive with the historical reproduction of this DENIX pistol the best battles of the eighteenth century!
