Product information "Confederate Cavalry Officer's Saber"

This saber has an ornate blade made of 1095 carbon steel. Features original handle and sheath materials, leather grip, and blued steel scabbard.

This authentic, handmade replica is hand forged and fully tempered of 1095 high carbon steel, coupled with original handle and sheath materials to ensure it performs exactly as the original did. Features a flexible, ornate blade and leather grip wrapped with brass wire. It is just like the old one carried by General Jo Shelby, the Missouri cavalry raider who never surrendered his command. This fine sword has "C.S.A." crisply acid etched on the hand forged blade. "C.S." is cast into the guard with excellent detail. Consult Albaugh: Confederate Edged Weapons, pg. 122.

The scabbard is blued steel, with brass throats, mounts, rings and drag. Beautifully finished.

Relativ leichter Säbel

Bisher mein liebster Säbel. Balancepunkt bei etwa 15cm, Gewicht etwa 950g, relativ leichtgängig verglichen mit anderen Säbeln. Echt nichts auszusetzen daran ausser dass die Draghtwicklung ohne Handscchuh ooder Griffband ziemlich agressiv ist.

Barong Machete 45.7 cm blade

The Barong is common throughout all of Southeast Asia. Often used as an agricultural tool, it is also known as a savagely effective implement of warfare. A popular blade style within the Filipino martial arts, the Barong has a fearsome reputation for inflicting massive wounds and deep slashing cuts. The Barong also makes an excellent bushcraft tool. Cleaving vines and branches with ease. Its classically shaped down-turned polypropylene handle anchors the blade in the hand and helps to resist centrifugal forces when making a hard chopping or slashing strokes. Outdoorsman Lite

As a nod to the great success of the Pendleton Lite Hunter, Cold Steel has decided to make more economical versions of their popular Tanto and Outdoorsman knives. These resemble their more expensive versions in that they feature similar blades, guards, handles, and pommels. The only significant change was the use of slightly thinner 4116 Krupp Stainless Steel blades, and the implementation of less costly materials in the handles. The handles are made in two parts. They feature a Polypropylene guard, pommel, and core section, which totally envelopes the full tang. The core is then over-moulded in a deeply checkered Kraton for a non-slip grip that's impervious to the elements and is easily cleaned with soap and water. To carry your knives safely and conveniently in the field, a black Secure-Ex belt sheath is included, so it can be easily worn on the belt or tucked into your pack or tackle box.
