This specimen is marked with a "3" on the inside of the crossguard. The knife bears the "Hibben Knives" logo and the signatures of Gil and Wes Hibben on the blade. The scabbard, crafted by Derek Hibben with stingray leather inlays and the US Special Forces emblem, is signed by Gil and Derek Hibben.
The US Special Forces emblem includes the slogan "De oppresso liber" . This is Latin and translates as "To liberate the oppressed" or "Liberator from oppression". This motto reflects the mission and self-image of the Special Forces, which are often deployed in special operations around the world to promote stability and freedom and to combat threats.
