The Battle of Stiklestad was the final battle of St. Olaf. This was warfare of the old school, with two hosts meeting face-to-face and sword-to-sword. It was a brutal, bloody and deadly fight, and in the end, the mighty Olaf fell. Gaining a lot of fame for his exploits, he was eventually canonized as St. Olaf. This attractive Viking sword is copied from a specimen that was quite involved in that kind of vicious encounter. Made from high carbon steel the sword is a beautifully balanced and highly effective weapon. Capable of both cutting and thrusting, it is also a delight to the eye. Pommel and guard are tastefully decorated with copper, the wooden grip is covered in leather. A scabbard is included.

Schöne Verarbeitung und recht handlich. Die Kupferlackierung in der Griffverzierung finde ich überflüssig. Ansonsten hat sich der Kauf gelohnt.

Genau wie ich es mir vorgestelt habe.Das Schwert selber sieht super aus und ist gut verarbeitet. Die Scheide ist auch sehr gut verarbeitet. Einzieg der Grief ist etwas zu kurz,aber meine Hände sind auch recht groß, ist aber eh nur zur Deko da,also nicht so schliem ;)

Ein sehr schönes Schwert, gute Verarbeitung, keine Macken. Auch eine gute Scheide. Es ist sehr führig und gut ausbalanciert. Die Klinge ist flexibel, aber nicht zu "wippig". Das Wildleder macht eine gute Optik, wobei ich nicht weiß, inwiefern Wildleder historisch authentisch ist. Der Griff ist beeindruckend schön, die Angel ist im Knauf gehämmert, saubere Arbeit. Das Sticklestad (eigentlich ja Stiklestad) ist eine absolute Empfehlung für jeden, der ein richtiges, bezahlbares Wikingerschwert haben will. Der sehr gute Schleifservice macht es komplett, und ist unverzichtbar. Im Internet wird viel über dieses Schwert geschrieben (siehe sword buyers guide).
