CIRCA 1390.

A forerunner of many long parrying daggers of later years, its long reach made it very effective. It saw much use in its own day as a backup weapon on the battlefield and was carried at court when swords were forbidden, for they made formidable weapons in the hands of an expert. A scabbard is included.

Beginning od a collection

Sword came securly packed in multiple layers of cardboard and plastick, apart from some glue/wax (?) on the guard it was spotless. Sword rattles a little inside a scabard but does not fall out if shaken. Blade was covered on a protectve layer of wax (i suppose), but it is a little bit crooked. Blade has an edge but its a minor one, tears/slices through papier. Overall a good purchase.

Wirkt sehr robust und sieht elegant aus,trotz des Aufklebers "Made in China" ;) Hab auch noch die 20 Euro für`s Schärfen investiert - wenn schon,denn schon.

Ich habe den Dolch vor 3Tagen erhalten. Es handelt sich bei meinem Exemplar, um die stumpfe Variante. Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich sehr gut u. solide. Der Griff hat eine sehr schöne Mischung aus einer Leder-Golddrahtwicklung. Sieht sehr edel aus. Die Klinge ist, obwohl stumpf, sehr spitz und schön ausgearbeitet. Die Scheide ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Leider fehlt eine Schlaufe zur Befestigung am Gürtel. Manko: auf der Klinge ( unterhalb der Parierstange) befindet sich der Aufdruck: MADE IN INDIA.
