This dagger sports a thick diamond section 1055 high carbon steel blade, with a finely formed down-turned guard with stepped decorative finials and a large ring guard. Multi-wrapped metal chain grip. Matching soft black leather covered scabbard included.

This dagger has large proportions with a thick diamond section blade with a finely formed down-turned guard and large ring guard. These daggers were used primarily in the left hand to parry an opponents blows. The stepped decorative finials of the down turned guard could also be used to engage an opponents blade, even if only briefly to provide the opportunity for a counter thrust. Features a multi-wrapped metal chain grip and exquisite detail.

Comes with matching scabbard covered in soft black leather and decorative throat and foot.

Kaufempfehlung

Ich habe die stumpfe Version erworben. Der Balancepunkt ist direkt an der Parierstange. Schwerer 10-eckiger Knauf, der sehr massiv ist und in einer kleinen Kugel ausläuft. Der Griff ist strukturiert und liegt gut in der Hand. Die Klinge und die Metallteile sind spiegelpoliert. Die Scheide ist sehr dekorativ. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

The Christus Imperat Rapier

A rapier of this identical form and proportions is currently housed in The Royal Armouries (formerly the Tower of London). The flamboyantly formed hilt is both beautiful and functional. Its' forward plates are pierced and show lavish birds among foliage, while the bars of the guard are slender both defending the hand and having an upward loop to catch an opponent’s blade.
