A peasant woman's life isn't easy: working in the field the whole day, tending the kitchen garden, washing and cooking, taking care of the kids, walking to market once a week... She needs a hard-wearing dress, one that holds up for more than one season and looks good no matter what it's been through. Like our peasant woman's dress! This hard-wearing dress in kirtle style is made of robust 100 percent cotton. The bodice part of the dress is reinforced and lined in a contrasting color. It has an attractive scoop neckline, graceful shoulder wings and shapely princess seams. At the front, a thick cord laces through metal eyelets and there is also lacing at the back for achieving the ideal fit for your figure. The very full skirt is gathered into the bodice at the waist. Like every other kirtle, it is open at the front. This means that you will have to wear our peasant woman's dress with a long chemise or shift underneath it – just like peasant women used to.

PLEASE NOTE: This dress is available in two color combinations: Black outer fabric with red bodice lining or Brilliant green outer fabric with violet bodice lining.
