Product information "Sword - Hadhafang"

Arwen's sword is called Hadhafang which means Throng-cleaver. It once belonged to the Elven princess Idril, who wed a mortal man and bore Earendil, the father of Elrond who in turn was father to Arwen. Before Arwen's birth Elrond wielded Hadhafang at the end of the second age of Middle-Earth, during the Last Alliance of Elves and Men in the great battle against Sauron. Later his daughter Arwen used Hadhafang when she aided Frodo in his escape from the Ringwraiths.

Inscribed on the blade are runes in the Elven language of Sindarin that say "aen estar Hadhafang i chathol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen." Which translates to "this blade is called Hadhafang, a noble defense against the enemy throng for a noble lady." The original inscription included the last line "Idril i hel en aran Gond dolen," which translates to "Idril, daughter of the king of the Hidden Rock (Gondolin)." It was dropped from the finished prop due to a lack of space. There is an intentional pun in the inscription - the Sindarin translation of "noble lady" is "Arwen", so in effect, the blade claims to be for Arwen, even though it was made for her grandmother.

Einer der schönsten Artikel die für Herr der Ringe hergestellt wurden. Allgemein sind die Elbenwaffen die ansehnlichsten ;) Verzierung wundervoll, der Ständer ist Top auch wenn ich es wohl an die wand hängen werde mal sehen. Würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Diesmal nur 4 Sterne. Das erste Schwert das ich erhalten habe, hatte mehrere Verarbeitungsfehler, sah sehr unschön aus. Konnte dies dann aber ohne probleme austauschen. Das neue Schwert ist Tip Top, aber kein Vergleich zu der Hobbit Serie dort ist die Verarbeitung noch viel besser. Wichtig für Schweizer! Rücksendung nicht empfehlenswert weil die Zoll + Versandkosten ca. bei 90Euro herum sind. Bin danach selber nach Deutschland gefahren um die rücksendung zu tätigen.

Ein weiteres sehr schönes Produkt von United Cutlery. Sehr empfehlenswert für Sammler und auch für Fans. Zudem einmal etwas anderes ein Schwert mit einer Bodenplatte statt einer Wandhalterung.

Das Hadhafang ist für mich eines der schönsten Schwerter aus der Herr der Ringe Linie. Die Klinge ist sehr schön gearbeitet und auch der Griff gefällt mir sehr gut. Das einzige Manko für mich ist, dass bei Schwert keine Wandmontage vorgesehen ist.

Auch dieses Herr der Ringe Schwert von United Cutlery ist sehr schön verarbeitet. Allerdings ist es sehr schwer und träge in der Führung, allerdings ist es ja auch eher ein Ausstellungsstück als eine richtige Waffe. Die Gravuren sind sehr schön gemacht und detail-getreu, allerdings verblasst die Farbe am Griff nach einigen Monaten an meiner Wand langsam. Deswegen nur 4 Sterne.

Ein echt eindrucksvolles Schwert, super Verarbeitet bis auf die kleinsten Details, aber den vogel schiest immer noch die Gravur ab, die ist einafch Top, ich würde es jedem Entfehlen :)

Ein wunderbares Schwert das sein Geld auf alle Fälle Wert war und sofort Lust auf mehr macht. Eine super Verarbeitung und eine schöne Gravur verleihen dem Schwert einen besonderen Glanz.

Orcrist - Sword of Thorin Oakenshield

In Third Age of Middle-earth, Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves came upon a troll lair in Rhûdaur. There Thorin found an ancient Elven sword named Orcrist, forged by the high Elves of the West, in Gondolin. Thorin claimed Orcrist for his own and vowed to cleave Goblins with it once again. He wielded the sword through most of the Quest for Erebor, using it against the Goblins of the Misty Mountains. The Goblins called it “Biter” and hated and feared it. The blade of Orcrist features a curved leaf shape on one side, and a straight edge on the other, a fitting design for a blade meant to cleave Orcs and Goblins. Adorning the pommel is an emblem of the heraldry of Ecthelion of the Fountain. The hilt is shaped from the tooth of a dragon.
