Mainstay of the Highland warriors of the late 15th and 16th centuries, the Claymore had a uniquely styled hilt that sets it apart from other great swords of the period. Typically of hand-and-a-half length, this versatile weapon could deliver great sweeping slashes or powerful thrusts. Replicated from a surviving museum piece our Claymore is classic in its design, with distinctive sloping quillons terminating in quatrefoils and a high-collared quillon block with langets following the blade fuller. The leather-covered grip is topped by a globate pommel.

Vorsicht! Wenn auf der Verpackung steht: Vorsicht - Inhalt ist scharf - bitte ernst nehmen - ein gute Waffe, die zwar den GANZEN KERL erfordert, sie zu führen, aber dann auch überaus SCHNITTIG ist!

Broadsword hanger

This Broadsword hanger is designed for the wall display of any Hanwei (and probably any other) broadsword. Its scissor-type action allows the retaining pins to grip the blade of the sword at the crossguard, with the weight of the sword providing the gripping force. The retaining pins are internally threaded and adjustable, to allow for different guard/grip thicknesses, and are grooved to provide a positive blade stop for blades with or without ricassos. Longsword Tinker Pearce sharp

This two-handed longsword features a Type XVIIIa blade with a narrow fuller running approximately 1/3 its length. Typical of the late Medieval period this style of longsword exhibits fantastic cutting and thrust ability thanks to its gradual profile taper and central ridge. This version features a sharp blade made of Marquenched 5160 spring steel. The hilt is dismountable. CAS has commissioned Michael `Tinker` Pearce to design a line of swords that will satisfy both the sparring and cutting needs of Western Martial Arts practitioners. Matching sharp and blunt versions of each sword in the series offer the same outstanding handling characteristics in both disciplines. The swords meet Tinker`s exacting quality requirements and are built in much the same way as his custom pieces. Each blade is forged from 5160 spring steel, Marquenched to the desired hardness of 50-53 HRC while the tang is drawn back to the low 30s HRC. For the Medieval models the very end of the tang is threaded to fit an allen nut recessed into the pommel which allows for dismantling of the hilt assembly for inspection, to exchange blades if needed, and for anyone wanting to easily customize their grip. Also the sharp and blunt blades are interchangeable on all Medieval models. The grips are cord wrapped and leather covered wood and tapered for a comfortable grip. Each sword is supplied with a leather covered wood scabbard with metal throat and chape.
