Often called a chapel-de-fer, this type of helmet was a very common sight on the Medieval battlefield. The broad rim was meant to turn away arrows coming from above. Made from two welded halves of 1.6mm (16 guage) steel with a wide reinforcement strip riveted to the skull. It features a polished surface with an adjustable leather liner and chinstrap.
