Product information "Early Kettle Hat from maciejowski Bible - C. 1250, Size XL"
Often called a chapel-de-fer, this type of helmet was a very common sight on the Medieval battlefield. This example is based on artwork from the Maciejowski-Bible. The broad rim was meant to turn away arrows coming from above. Made from two welded handbeaten halves of 1.6mm (16 guage) steel. It features a matte finish and an adjustable leather liner and chinstrap.
