Product information "Great helmet C.1300, Size L"
This helmet is based off of the great helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge, who died in 1375. The origin is now in the collection of the tiol Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. The crosses at the bottom of the helmet in the front were used as attachment points for chains. These helped to prevent the helmet from being dislodged if it was struck by a lance. This was a common style in the 14th century. Another well known example is the helmet of Edward the Black Prince, who faought alongside Sir Richard at the battle of Poiters, France, in 1356. It was worn over a cerveliere' and mail coif. This item is supplied with a well padded linen liner sewn into the inside of the helmet. It is constructed from 2mm steel.

Signature Series - Erbach Sword
Introducing the Signature Series by Windlass! Some of our all-time favorites, reissued by Windlass Steelcrafts® with several upgrades! The blade has improved distal taper, making the sword livelier and quicker. The scabbard now has a wooden core underneath the leather exterior. The grip features leather that is dimpled using a historically authentic "wet-wrap" process, during which fine cord is tightly wrapped around a wet leather grip. When it's dry, the cord is removed and the leather is left attractively indented and provides improved texture and grip. This sword rests in the German Schloss Erbach Armoury and is a fine example of a high medieval/renaissance sword (classified as an Oakeshott type XVIII A). This is truly a beautiful example of a bastard sword, effective in the cut and the thrust. The steel parts are highly decorative and the high carbon steel blade is lightly hollow ground, giving the sword a great feel with one or two hands. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. The leather grip and scabbard are brownish black. Original can be seen in Records Of The Medieval Sword by Ewart Oakeshott. SPECIFICATIONS: Overall Length: 44-5/8" Blade Length: 36" Blade Width: 2" Blade Thicknes: 3⁄16" Blade Distal Taper: 1/16” Point of Balance: 3-3/4” from guard Wt: 2 lbs, 12 oz Blade Material: 1075 high carbon steel
