Based on a style that was used in the 12th/13th century and is seen extensively in period artwork, this flat-top helmet provided the soldier with full face protection long before the advent of the visor. It also provides extra protection through the use of decorated bands of steel, that help to reinforce the facial guard. Constructed from 2mm steel, this helmet has an adjustable, spider style leather liner and chinstrap.
