Since 1980, when he first read Guru Dan Inosanto´s book, "The Filipino Martial Arts", our President, Lynn C. Thompson, has diligently studied and trained in these disciplines. Lynn´s extensive sparing experiences, combined with his study and training had an immeasurable impact in shaping Cold Steel into the company it is today. Our brand new Cold Steel Escrima Stick resembles a traditional rattan stick in length, weight, and cross section, it is however, much more durable because it is injection molded from super tough black polypropylene. It measures 32" long and is 1" in diameter and weighs approximately 12 ounces. Unlike rattan, it resists mildew, and won´t dry out, warp, crack splinter or shrink, and with the use of a saw, it can easily be modified to any length. Plus, like our baseball bats, Bokken, and African Walking Stick, it is easy to clean and is so resistant to impact stresses and the elements, that it is virtually unbreakable and practically indestructible. We´re confident that stick fighting enthusiasts and the Filipino Martial Arts Community will want to add one or more of these sticks to their training arsenal.

Mein Junior hat den mit zum Training genommen und war begeistert. Er fand in ein kleines Stück zu lang da haben wir ihn abgesägt und mit einer Flammen wieder zum glänzen gebracht

Absolut unkaputtbar! jetzt hat man bei Powerdrills keinen so hohen Verschleiß mehr ;) Man sollte aber beim Partnertraining, z.B. Sinawalis, darauf achten das beide diese Sticks verwenden. Mit den Dinger haust Du alle anderen "Stöckchen" in Stücke. Mir sind sie auch zu Lang gewesen und hab sie einfach entsprechend gekürzt. Fertig. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem escrima stick, sehr strapazierfähig, etwas schwerer als normale sticks.

Diese Stöcker sind super, schwerer als andere Materialien aber äußerst strapazierfähig. Ich fühle mich beim Training nun deutlich sicherer, selbst wenn es mal richtig rundgeht. Das zuschneiden mit einer normalen Säge geht ohne Probleme. Ich habe zusätzlich noch mit Tennisband einen Griff angefertigt, vorher war es mir zu rutschig. TOP!

Etwas zu schwer und die Stockenden könnten etwas abgerundet werden ansonsten Top.

Sehr sehr gute Qualität, aber aufgrund des Gewichtes (gegenüber anderen Materialien) etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Hat man sich daran gewöhnt, will man keine anderen Sticks mehr benutzen.

Die Teile sind zu lang und zu schwer - aber dagegen kann man ja etwas unternehmen. Wenn sich die Handgelenke DARAN gewöhnt haben, sind die normalen Sticks keine Herausforderung mehr.

Länge und Gewicht überraschen erstmal wenn man die Rattanstöcke gewöhnt ist. Mittlerweile mein Liebling fürs Kalinda-Training

Das Material ist wirklich sehr strapazierfähig. Länge und vor allem Gewicht sind beim ersten Mal, wenn man vorher nur die Rattan-Stöcke gewohnt ist, erheblich größer, wodurch das Handling etwas schwerer ist. Die Enden haben recht scharfe Kanten, die man unbedingt abfeilen sollte! Die Querrillen sind ganz praktisch - sobald man für sich die beste Griffposition gefunden hat. Ansonsten bin ich (nach jetzt ca. 2 Monaten) durchaus zufrieden.

Bokken

Bokken ("wooden sword") is the Japanese term in kenjutsu for a katana shaped out of wood. Used to train samurai in feudal Japan, it is now used as a training weapon in various Japanese sword arts. Some other martial arts (and all pedants) call it a bokuto ("wooden sword").A suburito is a bokken designed for suburi. Suburi, literally "bare cutting", are solo cutting exercises.
