The PSK Elite Katana was built for those who needed a little more leverage and reach. Keeping the furniture of the Practical Pro Katana, the Elite PSK version gets an upgrade with a cotton handle wrap and the Shinogi Zukuri blade geometry. Allowing for a variety of cuts on diverse targets, the Elite PSK design offers the practitioner the ability to take advantage of cutting light or heavy targets with one sword. The 1566 steel and differentially hardened in the traditional manner, producing an edge hardness of HRC60 and spine hardness of HRC40. Cut with speed and accuracy with the PSK Pro Elite Katana.
Made formerly at the legendary Hanwei forge that closed in 2024, the famed artisans of Dalian at the Dragon King forge take the mantle of this legendary brand. Former protégé of Paul Chen and original engineer of the manufacturing of the Hanwei brand, Frenchie Jin knows these swords better than anyone else as he was a part or their original conception at the original Hanwei Metal Factory. The CAS Hanwei brand couldn’t be in better manufacturing hands for the future.

This katana is very good, and is excellent for pros and begginers, if they are willing to pay up. It is incredibly long, yet is has very good speed and balance and actually feels a lot lighter than it is. I was surprised at how it handled when considering it's length. It cuts well, and overall performs like a true high-end katana. The only real minus i have, is that for the price I would like to see some higher quality menuki (they feel like cheap plastic), and also a Bo-hi would be nice ;)
