This sword is one of three exciting versions offered by Hanwei of the sword of Zatoichi, the legendary blind Samurai. The ever-popular black sword #11913, with its fully tempered carbon steel blade is joined by this sword which features a fully-forged straight Katana blade, housed in a natural hardwood scabbard and handle combination, while the superbly folded blade of the Zatoichi sword #11914 is housed in exquisite rosewood.

The Iai-Do sport is dealing with the Art of sword pulling and the determined tackle technique (Katas), indeed as a formal exercise. Usually the Iaito, a blunt Exercise sword is used. The development of an unit of body, mind and sword (Ki-Ken-Tai-Ichi) is in the foreground. The ultimate masters degree is achieved when people are able to control every situation of combat even without pulling the sword. The name Kei-Ben stands for the simple and practical sword design.
The blade is made of hand-forged stainless steel, blunt and with fuller (Bo-Hi).
The hilt (Tsuka) is made of wood and rayskin-covered (Same). The swine of the hilt (Tsuka-Ito) is traditional made of cotton. The tsuba made of a zinc-aluminium cast shows a flower motive. On the hilt are two Menukis in form of a Mitsudomoe inserted. The scabbard (Saya) is made of wood and the blade ferrule is brass. Manufactured from museums pattern, with certificate and seal to guarantee the genuineness.

The tsuba of this katana features actors of the traditional Japanese Noh-theatre, which originates from the 13th century and is still today very popular.
The Noh Katana has a handforged blade made of carbon steel with a fine hamon and has been tempered traditionally. The sharp blade features a hi (fuller) to reduce the total weight. The handle (tsuka) is made of wood, has been coated with real fish skin and features two menukis. In addition it has been traditionally wrapped in red cotton. The tang is especially long and fixed with two bamboo pegs (mekugi). The scabbard (saya) is made of wood and has a red high gloss finish. The blade collar (habaki) is made of brass. This katana has been made according to original museum exhibitions. The sword comes with a certificate of origin, wrapped in cloth and packed in a high-quality wooden box. All measures are subject to estimation.
