The Böker Barlow Prime Integral Micarta Green combines the rich heritage of the traditional Barlow pocket knife with a modern, exceptionally lightweight construction. Its distinctive teardrop shape can be traced back to English pocket knives of the 17th century, making it one of the oldest established knife designs. The name is believed to originate from a successful Sheffield knife maker who began exporting sturdy Barlow knives to North America around 1800. Their popularity eventually led to the first Barlow models becoming part of Böker’s history toward the end of the 19th century.

This modern interpretation features a carefully designed integral construction that eliminates the traditional bolsters and additional metal liners. Instead, continuous, ergonomically contoured scales made from green canvas Micarta provide a distinctive look while keeping the weight to a minimum. Decorative brass pins add warm accents that complement the green handle material.

The blade is crafted from cryogenically hardened N690 steel and features a distinctive stonewash finish with a modern, elongated swedge. It opens using a traditional nail nick. The slipjoint mechanism incorporates a 90-degree stop when opening and closing, supporting controlled handling. Weighing just 35 g, this compact Barlow is an exceptionally lightweight everyday companion.

Handcrafted at the Böker Knife Manufactory in Solingen, Germany, this pocket knife combines historic design, quality materials, and contemporary functionality in a slim, lightweight format.
