Tops Back Bite

Design by requirements is the motto of the well-known knife factory TOPS situated in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Idaho. As many of its members had a long career in military or police and are still well connected to these, the enterprise has a high official input. Before being serialized, every model is tested in the field for a minimum of six months. These ultra-sturdy knife blades are mostly manufactured from 1095 carbon steel. A special abrasion-resistant powder coating (developed exclusively for TOPS) is applied that makes the blade corrosion-resistant. This so called traction coating survived for seven days without damage the especially challenging US military salt spray test. Because of their sturdiness and reliability, TOPS knives are a vital part of the equipment and especially valued by the US army in today’s crisis areas. All TOPS models are made in the USA!

The Back Bite has an innovative design: Its dual edged blade features a concave primary edge and a secondary wharncliffe edge. The knife is designed for being held in the so-called icepick grip. The blade is made of black coated 1095 carbon steel. Canvas micarta scales with red fibre layers provide comfortable and secure grip. These features and the Kydex sheath make the Back Bite the ideal back-up knife. It is supplied with signal whistle.
