Product information "Autumn Leaf Katana by Dragon King"
The symbolism of the ginkgo leaf for longevity is about as ancient as the tree itself as well as its nature of duality. Our Autumn Leaf Katana embodies both of these contrasting metaphors of endurance and finality in its motif. The blackened, moon shaped stainless steel tsuba silhouettes falling gingko leaves as the moon coaxes songs from the grasshopper and bell cricket menuki (handle ornaments), both symbols of good fortune in Japanese culture. The 5160 carbon steel blade features a 1 ½" kissaki (point) and geometry conducive to rigorous cutting without chipping on soft and semi-hard targets.

The tan tsuka-ito (handle wrap) offests the blackened fuchi and fuchi-kashira on the true traditional and authentic double mekugi (bamboo pin) pinned handle unlike its modern counterparts. The brown textured lacquered saya (scabbard) features a buffalo horn rimmed koiguchi (scabbard mouth) and kurikata (knob) and black sageo (cord).

Maintenance Kit
The maintainance kit has everything in it which you need for the must of care for your handmade sword. Comes with oil and powder. Oil is used to prevent the rust of the sword. Oil makes a film of the oil between the sword body and the air, and it prevents the oxidization of the sword body. Oil dries in about some time. Therefore, reprint it in the new oil once in a month. The thing which made a whetstone powder-shaped is being packed into the Uchiko. White powder appears from the Uchiko when a sword body is struck with the Uchiko. There are two use purposes. The Uchiko removes the old oil which sticks to the sword body. Furthermore, the Uchiko beautifies the surface of the sword. Nuguigami: The Nuguigami is not just regular paper, it is high quality thick japanese paper for cleaning swords. It is used for wiping out old oil and wiping out the Uchiko. The Mekuginuki is used to remove the Mekugi of the sword. The Mekuginuki can remove the Mekugi with the sharp part. In order to use the Mekuginuki for removing the Mekugi, the hammerhead part can be removed from the rest of the Mekuginuki. How to take care for your sword: How to take care of the sword after an Iaido practices or Tameshigiri will be explained with this topic. Take care of the sword after the practices always. If the care for the sword is neglected, a sword rusts in the sweat of the hand. Face an edge toward the top, and pull out a sword slowly from the sheath. Then, be careful not to damage a sheath. Hold the sword pulled out with your left hand. Then, remove old oil and dust from the sword with the Nuguigami. Put a Nuguigami on the Mune of the sword when wiping the sword, and wipe the sword toward the top from the bottom. Pat a sword body with the Uchiko. Powder equally on the both sides of the sword body. Then, wipe the white powder with the new Nuguigami which is different from the paper used some time ago. Repeat this handle, and remove the blurs of the oil completely. Apply new oil to the sword body, and put away a sword to the sheath. Put the oiling paper on the Mune of the sword when oiling the sword, and oil the sword toward the top from the bottom. Don't oil a sword in quantity very much. Oil equally the both sides of the sword body. If the care for the sword is finished, put a sword in the sword bag, and keep it. Keep a sword in the place where it dries in the shade. How to take care of the sword of this topic isn't perfect. Therefore, remove the hilt once in three months, and care for the tang (Nakago) and so on.

Spring Sakura Katana by Dragon King
The sakura, the cherry blossom, explodes brilliantly and gorgeously in the Spring but then soon falls. History teaches us there was no greater glory for a samurai warrior to fall in battle in a field of scattered cherry blossoms. Our Spring Sakura Katana represents this beautiful Japanese metaphor of the transience of life. The blackened fuchi, kashira and ornate stainless cherry blossom tsuba accents the forged and through-hardened 27" blade. The 5160 forged high-carbon steel blade features a 1 ½" kissaki (point) and marquenched to an edge hardness of 57HRc with blade geometry conducive to rigorous cutting without chipping or deformation on soft and semi-hard targets. Contrasted only by the crimson tsuka-ito (handle wrap), same (ray skin) on the wood core handle, the notched seppa (spacers), silver habaki (blade collar) and cherry blossom menuki (handle ornaments) represent the only vivid aspects of this sobering piece. The black lacquered saya (scabbard) features a buffalo horn rimmed koiguchi (scabbard mouth) and wood kurikata (knob) and black sageo (cord). Scottish Dirk
The Scottish Dirk that most knife enthusiasts are familiar with these days is more or less a piece of rubbish- a prop-a costume accessory for stage and screen. It´s declined into a "knife like object" that people hang above their mantles or on the walls of dimly lit wood-paneled dens. Our version is a modern replica that harkens back to an earlier form when the dirk was a functioning tool and weapon. The 33 cm blade is forged to a hard spring temper from 1055 high carbon steel. It´s 3.81 cm wide and comes fully sharpened and battle-ready, prepared to hew down any foe. The attractive Rosewood handle is capped with a contrasting blued-steel guard, bolster and disc-shaped pommel, and a handsome leather scabbard completes the package. The scabbard features an extra wide belt loop with a blued-steel throat and chape. This is the perfect companion piece to complete your Highland ensemble, a real fighting dirk instead of a useless piece of metal. Specifications: Blade Length: 33 cm Blade Thick: 0.64 cm Handle: 13.65 cm Rosewood Overall length: 46.67 cm Weight: 535.82 g Steel: 1055 High Carbon Sheath: Leather Scabbard
