The Tori katana is an all-new design from CAS/Hanwei that incorporates truly elegant furniture with the functionality of our performance series. Featuring a flying crane tsuba, brown leather tsuka-ito over black same and a dark brown/black saya, the Tori is available in three folded steel cutting blade profiles and three Iaito blade lengths. This is undoubtedly one of the most elegant mounts ever crafted by CAS/Hanwei. This is the Tori Katana with a blade from folded steel.

Our Katana Blades embody the classical design elements of the most prolific sword design in history. With their strong Shinogi Zukuri shape that accentuates the differential heat treatment, these blades are traditionally proportioned to appeal to the collector but they will also perform well in general cutting of hard or soft targets.

The return of a classic .. our Tiger Katana from Hanwei is nostalgic reissue of the original (SH1204) folded steel katana made in the early 2000s. The specifications are painstakingly reproduced for accurancy. The 29 3/4" K120C powder steel blade is differentially tempered with a traditional claying method to the grain patter (hada) showing distinct layers. The temper line (hamon) is evident and prominent. the blade features groove (bo-hi) on both sides. The tsuba is made from blackened iron depicting a "stalking tiger" inlaid in brass. Gil Hibben has a history of designing knives for Sylvester Stallone to feature in his films, going back to the Rambo III Bowie. Stallone commissioned Gil to make several knives to use in The Expendables and The Expendables 2. One of those was a never-before-produced, custom-designed Legionnaire Bowie. The Legionnaire offers an approx. 24 cm long 7CR17 stainless steel blade with a mirror-polished finish. The handle is constructed of black pakkawood and is accented with a mirrorfinished, solid stainless steel guard and pommel.
