Sten Mark II, 9 mm caliber, United Kingdom 1940 (World War II).
Authentic replica of this machine gun that was born in 1940 when England was alone and threatened by an imminent invasion by Germany. The government was in urgent need to equip their soldiers with a weapon of own production. Thus was born the Sten submachine gun, a weapon with a debatable design and reliability, but also one of the most easily recognizable of the Second World War would end up being used by both airborne troops and special operations forces as resistance to almost all the countries occupied by the Germans.

It was used by the forces of the Commonwealth during World War II and the Korean War. Its most notable features were its simple design and low cost of production.

The name STEN is an acronym derived from the names of the leading designers of weapon: the Mayor Reginald Shepherd, Harold Turpin, and Enfield, the place where is located the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) of London . Some four million Sten of several versions were produced during the 1940s.

The Sten submachine gun used cartridge pistol 9 x 19 , which was a bonus if captured German ammunition, as they could use. The Sten was small and could easily concealable divided into several parts, and, therefore, was appreciated for operations of the partisans in Europe.

Reproduction of flintlock carbine of the Napoleonic period, made of metal and wood with simulated mechanism of loading and firing.The flintlock carbines had the blistering of a flint or flint stone, which when the hammer was triggered, it produced the spark that ignited the gun powder. These types of weapons required the manual recharge of their ammunition after each shot. The ammunition, which was introduced through the mouth of the barrel, consisted of gunpowder, projectile and paper wad, which served as a cap to keep the two previous ones compressed inside the barrel.The carbines could be more precise than the pistols and gave a longer effective reach. However, the sequence of loading and firing was complex, so during the training recruits were required to repeat these movements until they could be performed instinctively amidst the tension and confusion of combat. In theory, a well-trained soldier could shoot five times per minute, but in normal combat it was a rate of two or three shots per minute or less if the confrontation lasted.The trajectory of the bullet was imprecise and during the combat it was impossible to aim well. Miyamoto Musashi Katana BoHi

Our Miyamoto Musashi Katana BoHi is part of the Ronin class and is forged from 1060 steel. The blade has been polished sharply and has a BoHi on it. The blade hardness is 55 HRC and was tested and confirmed in a laboratory in Germany. The ito wrapping is made of black silk and was applied to the real ray skin on the handle. The Tsuba displays a double ring design which is always associated with Miyamoto Musashi. The handle and blade are bound by 2 Mekugi for solid fit of the handle on the tang. For the fittings we choose simple black iron mountings for the Kashira and Fuchi without any adornment. Just as Musashi dedicated most of his life solely to combat, so the fittings of this Katana should not distract from that which is fundamental. This sword is a reasonably priced basic model intended only for cutting. Now some may say that this design is much too plain.
