But such thought in design are expected from combining the expertise of the artisans of Dragon King and the mind of sword maker, Gus Trim. Tactically black and no frills, the removable durable black G10 handle scales cover a thick full-tang on the Black Oxide coated 9260 Spring Steel blades. The black textured fiberglass sheaths are fitted to a Molle compatible kydex platform that allows you to secure your swords to belt or pack in multiple carry positions. A hole in the end of the scabbard allows drainage in wet environs. A notch in the handle and the platform allows for stealth unsheathing as well as locking the sword securely for inverted maneuvers. No preparations for the end times are complete without an A.P.O.C. tactical sword for when the bullets run out, the knives are too short and your life is on the line. The A.P.O.C. Katana at a glance looks atypical except for the classic Japanese styled blade. The hooked guard prevents your fingers from sliding onto the blade edge. The 23 1/2" blade edge and contour features another Atrim profiling feature allowing precise cuts and slices. At 36 5/8” overall and 2 lbs 6 oz the A.P.O.C. Katana is hefty enough to split skulls and sever limbs but light enough to not hinder a valiant retreat. Cold Steel’s Rondel Dagger is inspired by historical examples of the combative incarnation of this medieval dagger. Rather than a multi-purpose tool, this version was a specialized weapon. A side arm developed for in-fighting, to pierce mail or heavy clothing, and to slip through gaps in plate armor. The long, straight triple-edged and hollow ground blade is incredibly stiff and terminates in a needle sharp point. The blade is richly blued, then the edges are hand polished, giving the Rondel its handsome appearance. The handle of the Rondel Dagger is turned and intricately hand-carved from Rosewood, with brass pins added to give further decoration and more traction to the grip. The period-correct double dish guard and pommel are further embellished with file work and offer incredible hand protection. A historically accurate hand-stitched leather sheath with blued steel throat and chape allows the Rondel Dagger be tied to a belt or baldric and comfortably worn in a variety of positions.
