This has given him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes and extraordinary senses. However, these abilities come with one major weakness, his thirst for blood.Blade also has a healing factor, but this does not retard his aging. Unlike the rest of the vampire community, he can walk in sunlight, though it causes some discomfort and he must wear sunglasses. Because of this rare ability, he has become know as the Daywalker. He is a master of martial arts and is aided in his quest by his long-time friend, Whistler.
