Product information "Sword of Eowyn"
Born in Edoras, EowynTM suffered the early death of her parents, and was forced to look after her ailing uncle, King Theoden,TM whose health was rapidly diminishing under the increasing control of SarumanTM and Grima Wormtongue. The beautiful and strong Eowyn was trained as a Shield-maiden, and was considered to have surpassed many Rohirrim men in terms of craft and skill. She carried a full-sized sword, which measured nearly three feet in length, from tip to hilt. The bronze guard and pommel were styled beautifully in honor of the mearas, to improve the grip of Eowyn´s small hand upon the sword. The handgrip was crafted with a raised middle section of three bronze rings. A wide fuller groove runs down 3/4 of the blade to reduce the weight, yet still retain critical blade strength. This type of fuller was common among royal swords of the Rohirrim.

Against her uncles wishes, a disguised Eowyn rode with the Rohirrim to the Pelennor Fields along with the hobbit, Merry, in defense of their fallen king. Eowyn achieved true heroism as she succeeded in the slaying of the Witch KingTM and his fell steed, however, she also suffered a heinous injury during the crusade. After being healed by King Elessar, Eowyn finally abandoned her passion for battlefield grandeur and found true love in the arms of Faramir.

Sword of Boromir
Eldest son of Denethor, the steward of Gondor,TM BoromirTM was a prince in all but name: he was implanted into a noble house and heir apparent to a ruling tradition that spanned back for a thousand years. Boromir was a proud and strong man who was considered by his fellow soldiers to be one of the most skilled swordsmen of Gondor. He triumphed as a captain in the Gondorian army while leading the forces against SauronTM at Osgiliath, where he deterred a throng of OrcsTM that had overrun the former capital city. Following a powerful dream Boromir shared with his brother Faramir, Boromir´s father commanded his son to ride north as the ambassador for Gondor to attend the Council of Elrond.TM. He later agreed to join the Fellowship on its quest to destroy "The One Ring.TM" In a single moment of weakness, Boromir attempted to take the Ring from Frodo,TM which would in turn lead to his demise as he single-handedly defended hobbits, Merry and Pippin, from the hands of Saruman´sTM Uruk-haiTM before falling under a rain of arrows. Boromir´s sword was single-handed, big, broad and powerful - a fit complimentary to its owner. To use it required someone with great strength, which this skilled warrior abundantly possessed. The blade´s flattened diamond shape and equally wide fuller reduced weight, yet retained strength in the end of the blade by stopping just short of the tip. It was equally effective for slashing against lightly armored opponents and for thrusting into more heavily protected enemies. The guard, similar to that of his father´s sword, showed a warrior´s flourish in that it was formed from a square-edged piece of steel that had been twisted before being curved into a crescent. The handgrip was wide like the blade, and the pommel was an elegant and simple piece of steel that added weight to balance the blade. THE SWORD OF BOROMIRTM Includes a parchment certificate of authenticity and a wood display plaque. OVERALL LENGTH: 99.06 cm BLADE LENGTH: 76.68 cm BLADE THICKNESS: 0.64 cm BLADE MATERIAL: Tempered, 420 J2 stainless steel with a fuller grind, false-edged. Honshu Boshin Katana
The Honshu Boshin Katana epitomizes United Cutlery’s celebrated knack for fusing tradition and innovation into masterworks of modern sword design and engineering. True to the legendary Japanese katana’s roots, the Boshin boasts a 30 3/4” full-tang blade that is simply unrivaled in sharpness and durability. Swordsmiths and scholars have long deemed the storied katana the sharpest weapon on the planet, and, fittingly, no edge on any sword, anywhere can contend with the shear cutting and cleaving clout of the Boshin’s impossibly sharp 1060 high carbon steel blade. It can literally slice through a cinder block like a hot knife through butter, suffering nary a scratch or fissure. But take one look at the Boshin and it immediately becomes clear – this is no ordinary Katana. Trading traditional trappings and garb for chic contemporary style and cutting-edge appointments, the innovative Boshin is undeniably a weapon for the modern era. Advanced textured TPR rubber shrouds the tsuka for an ergonomic no-slip grip you just can’t get from conventional ray skin and cord. The tsuka is crowned with an oversized polished steel kashira with handy lanyard hole, and the tsuba snubs fanciful ornamentation in favor of a pragmatic asymmetrical pointed ellipse design. Deep blood grooves extend along the sleek, gleaming blade from the base of the tsuba to the outset of the boshi, the blade’s placid terminal curve that culminates with the stinging kissaki, or point. A tough black wooden saya, or scabbard, secures the razor-sharp blade. In keeping with the Boshin’s clean, functional aesthetic motif, the satiny smooth saya is largely unembellished, save the handsome black genuine leather sageo. Even among far more expensive swords, United Cutlery’s remarkably affordable Honshu Boshin Katana is sure to become the cherished focal point of your collection, admired and coveted by all who lay eyes on it. With its fierce cutting potency and sublime feel, wielding this swordsmith masterpiece is almost Zen-like and beyond description; you just have to experience it for yourself! Truly a must-have for longtime Japanese katana aficionados, beginning sword fanciers and everyone in between. Measures 41” overall. Details: • Remarkable fusion of tradition, innovation • Slices through cinderblock without scratching • 30 3/4" full-tang 1060 high carbon steel blade • Clean, functional design; chic modern style • Textured TPR rubber handles for no-slip grip • Includes black wooden saya with leather wrap • Overall length: 41”; truly a pleasure to wield
