Spatha - 60cm

Epic Armoury’s Spatha is a finely detailed LARP sword inspired by the iconic Roman gladius. Its classic profile and elaborately designed hilt make it an excellent choice for Roman officers, gladiators and historical fantasy characters. With its durable construction and distinctive details, this sword is an impressive addition to any LARP kit.

The double-edged blade features a double fuller that enhances its historical appearance. The intricately designed hilt, known in historical terminology as the capulus, features ornate details reminiscent of the weapons carried by officers and dignitaries. Its ergonomically shaped, knobbed grip provides a comfortable hold and ends in a large spherical pommel.

As a hybrid model, the Spatha combines detailed styling with a durable, low-maintenance construction. The blade is made from closed-cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a tough latex coating. The handle is cast from polyurethane foam, allowing for intricate details without requiring special maintenance. The sword is available in overall lengths of 60 cm, 85 cm and 105 cm.
