The old concept of the dagger/bayonet has moved forward to the multipurpose knife/bayonet. In synthesis a multipurpose knife which can be fixed to the issued rifle. The idea for this system originated following the use of the multipurpose Fulcrum EI by the Italian "Nibbio" Contingent in Afghanistan. The excellent results obtained through the use of the Fulcrum EI gave rise to the idea of modifying it in such a way that it could be fixed to the issued rifle without losing its special characteristics, thus making it a complete multipurpose tool. In addition it can be provided with an optional rope cutter and a mine detector.
