The MicroJimbo combines all the key features of Michael Janich's groundbreaking Yojimbo2 into a smaller, more legal package, while maintaining key dimensions. The result is an ultra-compact "tactical Wharncliffe" folder that opens the same way as its full-size counterpart and fits perfectly in smaller hands and pockets. This elite version of the MicroJimbo further enhances the design with a blade made of Spyderco's proprietary CPM SPY27 stainless steel. An improved, powder-metallurgical version of the proven VG-10 stainless steel, CPM SPY27 contains vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen, enhanced by the strengthening effect of the steel's signature element—cobalt. Together, they produce a blade steel with an impressive balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The MicroJimbo's fully flat-ground Wharncliffe blade takes full advantage of these qualities, delivering cutting performance that far exceeds its compact size. The handle features nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners, cobalt blue G10 scales with a peel-ply texture, and a high-strength compression lock mechanism. For discreet carry and quick access, the MicroJimbo features a reversible wire clip (tip-up) that allows for deep carry.
