The Dace

Nimble, fast, and adaptable – with the Boker Plus The Dace, designer and passionate angler Joe Mangiafico, who was previously responsible for the Canoe and The Brook models, has another truly magnificent specimen on his hook. Inspired by the eponymous whitefish (the dace), the American knifemaker transferred its characteristic silhouette to this nimble pocketknife. The Dace defines its habitat as primarily hard-bottomed EDC waters with a rich food supply of cardboard, rope, and packaging, with the occasional penchant for fine work on fish and meat. The ball-bearing drop-point blade made of the edge-holding and corrosion-resistant Nitro-V develops the perfect bite when the flipper is activated, while the liner lock for locking the knife is discreetly housed in the flattened handle made of gray 6061-T6 aluminum. Iridescent blue anodized elements such as the tip-up clip (r), the flat blade spindle screw, and the handle screws give this pocket knife a distinctive touch. The robust stonewash finish and the blade spine with non-slip jimpings and decorative ricasso complete the overall look and performance.
