Napoleon’s cavalry was the bane of the European battlefield. His troops were equipped with first rate blades, manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory dedicated to producing the finest edged weapons of the day. Our 1813 Napoleon Saber takes inspiration from these exceptional swords, with an elegantly curved 1055 Carbon Steel blade and long, wide fuller, culminating in a very sharp, but practical point. The grip is equally well made. It’s wrapped in black leather and strongly protected by a stout, brass three bar hilt. The whole package comes with a heavy duty hand polished steel scabbard with dual rings for attachment to a baldric or sword belt.

Dieser elegante Säbel ist bis auf den Handschutz aus Messing (dieser wackelt nach einiger Zeit ganz leicht oberhalb des Griffs) gut verarbeitet und liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Die Klinge ist bis zur Mitte hin scharf, könnte aber im Auslieferungszustand ruhig noch schärfer sein.

Renaissance Wax 65ml

Renaissance wax polish was originally formulated in the British Museum research laboratories in the early 1950's, in response to a discussion amongst museum technicians at an international conference on fine-art conservation. In accelerated ageing tests, the British Museum scientist found that all current commercial waxes based on the usual natural waxes (beeswax and carnauba wax) contained acids which, in time, could spoil original finishes on national historic collections of furniture. He rejected them all and investigated the new so-called 'fossil' or microcrystalline waxes being refined out of crude oil.
