Derived from the sword used by Celtic tribes of ancient Iberia (Spain) and adopted by the Roman Legions, the Gladius, with its long, narrow point and wasp waisted blade, was the scourge of the battlefield and often the last thing seen or felt by Rome's enemies.

Ever popular, the Gladius is still in demand almost 2000 years later and is one of Cold Steel’s most frequently requested swords to make, so they have decided to offer a modern version of this ancient classic in a very affordable machete/sword format.

Made from 1055 Carbon steel it offers 48 cm of unprecedented piercing and slashing power at a bargain price.

Sporting an extra wide, full tang for strength and a classically inspired handle, it offers the standard guard and ball shaped pommel of years gone by. Made of high impact Polypropylene, it is impervious to the elements, rugged beyond belief and most importantly, comes compete with a sturdy cordura sheath and belt loop.

Tolle Waffe. Kommt schön scharf an und ist sehr spitz. Die Scheide ist stabil und hält viel aus. Ist eher ein Schwert, das in Machetenbauweise hergestellt wurde.

Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Material ist gut verarbeitet, die Machete ist nicht zu schwer, sie liegt gut in der Hand. Die Jungs/Mädels von Cold Steel verstehen ihr Handwerk.

Eine perfekte Kombination aus einem Werkzeug und dem historischen Gladius. Es ist vom Gewicht her nicht so schwer wie ein richtiger Gladius, was aber bei Gartenarbeiten, Schnitttest oder beim imaginären Training kein Hindernis ist:-) Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle Liebhaber dieses Schwerttyps!

EIn wundervolles Schwert, sehr scharf schon bei Lieferung, liegt hervorragend in der Hand, sieht toll aus und wird nur sehr langsam stumpfer. Hab meines jetzt seit über 1,5 Jahren und es ist noch fast so scharf wie bei Anlieferung!

Werde mittlerweile echt zum fan dieser firma, zumindest was ihre macheten angeht,. wobei es sich hier eher um ein Kurzschwert handelt. Handlich, Verarbeitung und Schärfe sind super. Kaufen!

Formschöne Machete wie nicht anders zu erwarten von Cold Steel. Am Feinschliff muß ei wenig nach gebessert werden, aber an sonsten nichts negatives zur Gladius Machete zu sagen.
