Product information "Genuine Gurkha Regimental Kukri"

The genuine Gurkha Regimental Kukri is made by the government contractor Windlass Steelcrafts. Each comes with a regulation sheath. Used with devastating effectiveness by the famous Nepalese Gurkhas in the Siege of Delhi in 1857, in the trenches of WWI France, throughout the New Guinea jungle in WWII, and with distinction in the Falkland Islands.

The blade features deep grooves and the traditional religious notch. This kukri features a scale tang and the traditional, native hardwood handle. The butt plate is standard and made of metal. The Gurkha regimental kukri comes with accessory knives.

Ein sehr robustes Haumesser zu einem unschlagbaren Preis! Der Stahl scheint recht schnitthaltig zu sein. Der Schleif-Service hat das gute Stück allerdings nur auf Grundschärfe gebracht.

Ein sehr schönes Kukri.Gut verarbeitet und robust. Bei lieferung kommt es ziemlich stumpf an. Man muß ordentlich schleifen um es scharf zubekommen. Was nicht ganz so einfach ist.Wen es einmal scharf ist hält es die auch lange. Durch die wuchtige Klinge kann man ohne problem mit diesem Kukri kleiner Bäume ( etwa 10 cm durchmesser ) fällen. Der Griff ist allerdings sehr gewöhnungs bedürftig. Die Beimesser sind meiner Meinung nach nichts.

Dieses Kukri ist ein massives Stück Metall, sehr gut verarbeitet, robust mit einem sehr ducken Klingenrücken und einer massiven, robusten Klinge. Der Schleifservice hat das gute Stück super scharf geschliffen und trotz Gewicht und Masse liegt diese wuchtige Waffe gut in der Hand. Ein dekoratives, geschichtsträchtiges, aber auch enorm Einsatzfähiges Stück, dass im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis viele andere, weitaus teuere Kukris übertrifft.

Hervorragendes Messer, viel zu schade für den Gebrauch. Die mächtige klinge ist dank dem Schleifservice von Swords@more extrem scharf. Auf die Beimesser kann man aber verzichten.

Tolles Messer. Ist sehr schwer zu schärfen, aber genau das sorgt dafür das die Schärfe lange erhalten bleibt, wenn sie erstmal da ist. Selbst das entasten und abholzen von kleineren Bäumen und Büschen haben der haarscharf geschliffenen Klinge nichts ausgemacht. Da ich nur Wert auf das Kukri lege waren mir die Beimesser egal. Aber für die Leute die auch zwei gute Beimesser brauchen (wozu auch immer).. die Beimesser sind totaler Schrott den einzigen Zweck den ich den Beimessern als Tauglichkeit zugestehen würde, wäre "weiche" Butter aufs Brot zu schmieren aber zum schneiden... ZONK. Hätte echt Angst das ich mich an den Dingern verletze, so labil wie die gebaut sind. Der Kukri selbst ist aber allein schon das Geld wert. wmh

i bought this piece together with the Ghurka Dagger [18564], and i have to say that this (Genuine Gurkha Regimental Kukri [13631]) has better craftsmanship both blade and scabbard, than the other.

sehr schönes und schweres Kukri, besser verabeitet als gedacht, auch die größe dieses Messers hat mich überrascht. Das Kukri ist wunderbar, zusammen mit den Beimessern, in der Lederscheide zu verstauen. Nur die Aufhängung der Scheide sitzt sehr locker und könnte beim tragen nachgeben, sodas das die Scheide einfach nach unten heraus rutscht. Dennoch alles in allem ein sehr gutes Messer das vor allem durch seine Qualität und sein Design sowie durch die Größe besticht.
