Same skin used for Tsuka of Japanese sword on the wooden handle and under the tsuka ito, the handle wrap.

Also it is used for handle of bow and fishing rod.

At the moment we can offer 4 different grades of Samekawa, which are different in size, design of the grains and cleanliness.

You will get a big piece of same from one fish. This is grade No. 2 which is a very good bleached quality.
