Product information "Viking Spear"

Despite the adulation and reverence given to the sword, the spear was generally the weapon of choice for Vikings. Used as throwing weapons and as pikes, spears were an indispensible part of their daily routine. This Viking spear is made of hand forged tough, high carbon steel . The spearhead includes a 4 1⁄2" steel socket. The corresponding pole is not included.

Diese Speerspitze ist sehr stabil, sauber verarbeitet.

Die Speerspitze ist sehr solide gearbeitet. Die Tülle ist ist aus einem Stück Rohr, so daß anders als bei den sonst üblichen Speerspitzen keine offene Naht übrig ist. Dafür sind Löcher zum Fixieren mit einem quer durchlaufenden Stift vorhanden. Außerdem ist die Tülle nicht so dünn, daß man den Stiel scharf anspitzen muß, um ihn halbwegs tief genug hneinzu bekommen, daß er nicht gleich wieder abbricht. Insgesamt macht der Speer einen brauchbaren Eindruck. Volle Punktzahl. Einziges Manko: eine Wartezeit von 2 Monaten. Aber gut, die Saison ist nun zu Ende und bis zum Frühjahr ist es Zeit alles zusammenzubaue und für die neue Saiaon vorzubereiten.
