Bokken ("wooden sword") is the Japanese term in kenjutsu for a katana shaped out of wood. Used to train samurai in feudal Japan, it is now used as a training weapon in various Japanese sword arts. Some other martial arts (and all pedants) call it a bokuto ("wooden sword").

A suburito is a bokken designed for suburi. Suburi, literally "bare cutting", are solo cutting exercises. Suburito are thicker and heavier than normal bokken so that you have to develop either good technique, strong muscles or both to wield one. Their weight does however tend to make them poorly balanced, consequently they are not used for paired practise.

Miyamoto Musashi was famed for his use of the bokken in actual combat.

Bleach Rukia Kuchiki Zanpakuto Anime Sword

Rukia's zanpakutō is named Sode no Shirayuki ("Sleeve's White Snow"). It goes unnamed until after the Soul Society arc in the manga, since she initially gave her shinigami powers to Ichigo. Its shikai command is "dance". In its shikai, the entirety of Sode no Shirayuki including the blade, hilt and handle becomes white. The tsuba turns to a circle and a white ribbon forms from the pommel. Sode no Shirayuki is regarded as the most beautiful zanpakutō in Soul Society in its release. The weapon has control over ice, much like Tōshirō Hitsugaya's Hyōrinmaru, but it is used in a different manner. Like Kaname Tōsen's Suzumushi and Kisuke Urahara's Benihime, Sode no Shirayuki possesses more than one ability. Sode no Shirayuki's abilities are labeled as "dances" by Rukia. With the command "first dance, white moon" Rukia can create a circle of influence around her intended target and freeze everything within the circle from the ground upwards until it reaches the sky. The command "the next dance, white ripple" fires a massive wave of ice from Sode no Shirayuki's blade. Vergil is Dante's twin brother. He is a chief antagonist in Devil May Cry 3 as well as a playable character in the game's Special Edition. After he is betrayed by Arkham at the end of the game's second act (the end of mission 13), he temporarily teams up with Dante near the end, before reverting to his villain role. Throughout the game, Vergil seeks to undo the seal of Sparda inside the Temen-ni-gru and claim the entirety of their father's power for his own, regardless of the effects this will have on the human world. To do so he needed Dante's half of their mother's amulet, so he lured his brother out with the intent of taking it by force. Vergil battles Dante three times in the Devil May Cry 3 storyline.
