Rillet Rapier, Black, 103cm
Epic Armoury's Rillet Rapier from the Vanguard line takes its design inspiration from the rapiers of the Renaissance. Rather than following the highly ornamental style of court weapons, this model is based on the rapiers traditionally used for battle and warfare, combining a historically inspired appearance with a robust construction suitable for LARP.
The specially designed guard protects both the top of the hand like a conventional crossguard and the fingers in a manner similar to a basket hilt. This provides comprehensive hand protection while giving the rapier its distinctive appearance.
The grooved handle provides a secure and controlled grip. The chappe, or rain guard, is positioned inside the crossguard and features decorative engravings resembling curling vines. Matching engravings surround the globe-shaped pommel, creating a cohesive and elegant design.
The blade is made from closed-cell polyurethane foam and carefully shaped and colored to achieve a highly realistic appearance. At 103 cm in length, this version offers the impressive proportions of a classic long rapier and is an excellent choice for Renaissance, historical, and fantasy LARP characters.
Like all LARP weapons in the Vanguard line, the Rillet Rapier requires virtually no maintenance beyond regular inspections for signs of wear such as cuts or breaks.
The 103 cm Rillet Rapier in Epic Black is also available in Light Wood & Gold and in a shorter 85 cm version.
