Gil Hibben Big John

Gil Hibben is the creator of the knives seen in the motion pictures Rambo, the knife seen in the new 2008 movie "Rambo", and numerous other movies. He is also the "Official Klingon Armorer" having created the Klingon knives and swords seen in Star Trek movies.

Gil also makes custom handmade knives for collectors around the world and is President of the Knifemakers Guild as well as an inductee into the Knifemakers Hall of Fame and the Knife Throwers Hall of Fame. This knife was one of the original prototype designs from when Gil Hibben was designing a knife for the new "Rambo" movie. This design was rejected for the movie because it was too "finished" looking and Sylvester Stallone wanted something much more crude and primitive looking.

But Gil liked the design which incorporates features of both of the knives that he created for the last two "Rambo" films so it was decided to offer it to the collectors. The "Big John" is entirely handmade and features a massive 30 cm blade of 0,64 cm thick D2 high carbon steel and a beautiful Macassar Ebony handle. The overall length of the knife is a whopping 43,8 cm.

It comes complete with a handmade brown top grain leather sheath.
