This synthetic Whetstone has an open-pore structure, a homogeneous particle deposition, and high sharpening performance. It shall be used only with water and are not only suitable for Japanese knives. Before use, the stone should rest 10 to 15 minutes in water, and should be moistened regularly during grinding.

Grains up to 1000 are suitable for regrinding, higher grains from 3000 provide a fine grounding of the blade. Whet stone on non-slip rubber base.
