Mike Skellern, knifemaker from South Africa and the father of the successful Böker Plus Exskelibur, has revived the legend to ensure that the Modern Exskelibur will transcend any era. A special feature is the powder-metallurgical BKR-10 blade steel developed specifically for Böker. Its composition and performance are similar to the high-quality Japanese VG-10 and it boasts a balanced combination of components that make it a stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and high hardness. It is rich in carbon and chromium. The cobalt it contains enhances the individual effects of the other key elements of this complex steel, ensuring high edge retention and strength. The Gentleman Folder is opened using the ambidextrous thumb stud, while the intuitive crossbar lock reliably locks the ball-bearing drop-point blade with a stonewash finish. The knife's potential as an evergreen is impressively underscored by the green Micarta handle scales with their distinctive ergonomics, the reversible pocket clip (tip-up), and the lanyard hole for flexible carrying options.
