ButtonUp - Black

Designed by Eric Glesser, the Spyderco ButtonUp is Spyderco's first-ever manual-opening folding knife equipped with a button lock. It combines a high-strength, highly convenient button lock mechanism with ball-bearing pivot washers to deliver an exceptionally smooth and fidget-friendly action.

The modified clip point blade is crafted from corrosion-resistant 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and features a full-flat grind for an excellent balance of cutting performance and blade strength. The 8.3 cm blade is finished with a non-reflective black oxide coating.

The blade is housed in an open-backed handle featuring smooth peel-ply carbon fiber/G10 laminate scales. Nested stainless steel micro-liners reinforce the construction around the pivot and lock. In keeping with the black-coated blade, the pocket clip, button, and other handle hardware also feature non-reflective black coatings.

For convenient and versatile carry, the ButtonUp includes a reversible hourglass pocket clip that allows tip-up carry on either the left or right side. The clip anchors to a second set of micro-liners nested in the butt of the handle and straddles a lined lanyard tube for easy attachment of fobs and lanyards.
