CRKT have produced Kit Carson’s popular M16 line in many variations over the past decade. Their Zytel version has built the largest user base of all. These knives are built for function, not fad, and they are exceptional values. The new M16 ZLEK line uses the very successful InterFrame construction, with tough, textured Zytel scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame and solid Zytel back spacers. The handle is assembled with superior offset Torx fasteners. For professional use, a seat belt cutter was added to the Carson Flipper, and a tungsten carbide window breaker at the butt. Automobile side windows shatter with one quick whack from the butt of the knife. All components receive a tough tactical black coating. The Flipper can be pressed for fast one-hand opening, and creates a blade guard when open. Premium AUS 8 high-carbon stainless steel was used for the blades, which have Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges to easily cut rope, cord, canvas, and vegetation.

All three models are fitted with the exclusive patented AutoLAWKS safety, which automatically makes them into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked.

The “Big Dog” M16 is a hefty 176 grams knife with a 9.5 cm tanto blade that is able to tackle virtually any emergency task. This larger model features a four-position clip, allowing carry on belts or webbing— tip up, tip down, left or right. Please note: These knives are not designed for tip-up in pocket carry.

Mit Abstand das beste EDC Messer auf dem Markt. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr hochwertig und die Klinge sehr scharf (Papiertest ohne Probleme). Der Gurtschneider und Glasbrecher runden das Messer zu einem echten Allrounder ab. Leider gibt es keinen Federmechanismus, allerdings bekommt man es mit Hilfe des Flippers auch ohne diesen wunderbar ausgeklappt. Für den Preis gibt es kaum ein besseres EDC Messer auf dem Markt. Am liebsten würde ich 10 Sterne vergeben.

Tatami Omote - basic quality

This mat is made from rice straw and can be used for the traditional japanese cutting test tameshigiri. The mat has a dimension of 180*90 cm. This mat comes single packed in a foil together with a pad of silicon so that the mat wont catch any water during transport or storage. The end of the mat is tied together by some wire which you have to cut of before starting to cut with your blade. This tatami omote is the basic quality. After our experiences in cutting tatami omote during the last years we have decided to offer different qualities of tatami omote. By this we can make sure that each and every cutting customer will be satisfied. The beginner can buy and cut this mat without any problems. The advantages are obvious: - low price - pre rolled, safes time in preparation - soaks water very quickly - easy to cut We recommend this tatami omote to all customers doing tameshigiri for the first time who also want to save time and money but want to cut the traditional way. When you compare the 2 kinds of tatami omote, basic and high quality, then you will quickly realize that the basic quality tatami omote has only half the withstood the high quality has.
