Sidekick Diver - Double Edge

The Sidekick Diver is a high-performance dive and rescue knife built for divers who depend on reliable gear in demanding conditions. Unlike many traditional emergency-only dive knives, this model was designed as a true working blade — durable, edge-retaining, and dependable for repeated underwater use.

Designed by Ana Espinoza as part of the annual Employee Design Challenge, the Sidekick Diver balances strong cutting performance with reliable corrosion resistance for saltwater environments. It was created specifically for tasks such as cutting rope, fishing line, and nets while remaining capable as a primary utility blade.

Its N690Co / Cobalt Vanadium steel blade offers excellent edge retention, toughness, and solid rust resistance. The black traction coating adds additional corrosion protection while reducing glare.

The blade geometry includes a fine tip for precision tasks, a serrated edge for slicing through rope and line, and an integrated line cutter on the spine that helps clear debris while protecting the main cutting edge.

The ergonomic gray and black G10 handle provides excellent grip and control, even with wet hands or gloves. The knife includes a durable black Kydex sheath with belt loop for secure carry and fast deployment.
