The Lasserre Bowie is an impressive reproduction of a remarkable historical Bowie knife from early America. The original inspiration for this elegant yet intimidating knife comes from a renowned collection of antique Bowies featured in the famous The Antique Bowie Knife Book.
Based on a rare original crafted by a New Orleans cutler, this Bowie combines massive proportions with refined design. One of its most striking features is the elaborate guard with an integrated finger ring, a distinctive characteristic of high-end historical Bowie knives.
The long blade is forged from 1075 high carbon steel and features a subtle widening toward the sharply pointed tip, enhancing chopping power and cutting authority. The sharpened top edge reinforces its classic Bowie appearance and commanding presence.
While the historical original featured ivory grip slabs, this reproduction uses durable black buffalo horn paired with nickel silver fittings. The knife includes a matching leather sheath and period-style belt. The belt is designed to fit waist sizes approximately 32" to 49".
