From its huge imposing blade to its handsome rosewood handle, every inch of the Frontier Bowie screams perfection!

Almost sword-like in its cutting and thrusting performance, the Frontier Bowie features a wide, wickedly keen hand-sharpened blade with a generous clip and huge fuller. Made from 1055 Carbon Steel, it is heat treated to a hard spring temper and beautifully blued to a lustrous finish. Its blade is both long and stiff enough to oppose even much larger weapons, while wide and sharp enough to make the most of every opportunity to cut, thrust and deliver a "palpable hit".

The Frontier Bowies handle is a perfect accompaniment to its battle-ready blade. Its big "S" shaped guard offers excellent hand protection while the slim, flat profile stops it from twisting in your hand and keeps your edge alignment true even in the heat of combat. Its modified pistol grip also keeps the knife locked safely in your hand even when utilizing a palm reinforced grip for extended reach and leverage in the thrust.

To further compliment this exceptional knife, Cold Steel had created a high quality leather sheath with a blued steel throat and chape. Its swiveling leather belt frog is wide enough to accommodate even a thick military belt and fully detachable to allow you to slide the knife into your belt for a more traditional carry.

Wie immer schnelle Lieferung. Danke. Das Messer ist riesig!!! Für mich viel zu groß. Schon fast ein Kurzschwert Der Schliff lässt leider sehr zu wünschen übrig. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Teil, für große Menschen mit großen Händen.

Ein außergewöhnlich schönes sowie böses Messer !! Hier passt für mein Empfinden einfach Alles. Vom Rosenholzgriff bis hin zur Spitze der gebläuten Klinge absolut makellos verarbeitet! Genauso wie die mitgelieferte Scheide, die mit ihren gebläuten Stahlbeschlägen wunderbar zum Gesamtbild des Bowies passt. Noch nie habe ich ein Messer besessen oder gesehen, welches mir sowohl gezogen oder in der Scheide verweilend gleichermaßen gut gefällt. Die riesige Hohlkehle sowie der große Handschutz unterstreichen dazu noch äußerst passend den "bösen" Charakter dieses Schmuckstücks. Auf mich wirkt dieses Bowie oft wie; als wäre es direkt vom Beelzebub persönlich im Höllenfeuer geschmiedet worden ;) Mein absoluter Liebling, TOP***** !!!

The best of the world's sword fighters have known a simple truth for ages... if you want to become a reasonably good sword fighter you should endeavor to learn sword fighting techniques, footwork and the basic stances. However, if you want to be a master at sword fighting you have to eventually start fighting with a "live blade". If your ultimate goal is to wield a razor sharp sword safely and effectively, you need to train with a sword that approximates the size, feel and heft of a live blade, yet minimizes the possibility of causing grievous, permanent, or life-threatening injury to yourself or your training partner. This concept was implemented by the ancient Romans, who used dull wooden swords to train their Gladiators and soldiers. And Japanese Samurai used a wooden training sword that was called a Bokken. It is an elegant solution to a vexing problem and effective enough to still be used today. The only problem is that a wooden sword can rot, crack, chip or splinter and eventually become useless.
