The designs of the Messer Swords were inspired by Condor's German origin. These beautiful renaissance replicas have thick blades with astonishing sharp edges and are full tang. The wood handles are made of burnt American hickory and Walnut. The Condor Messer Sword is intended for a one hand use while its larger brother, the Grosse Messer Sword, can be used with one or two hands for a perfect balance. Each includes a hardwood covered leather scabbard.

Hand and a half sword

We would be hard pressed to think of a more versatile or effective sword than the "Bastard" or "Hand-and-a-Half Sword" we offer here. For a sword of this size, it´s amazingly light and fast and tips the scales at approximately 1360.8 g. Its 85.09 cm long blade is quite wide so it can produce deep shearing type cuts yet pointed enough to be effective in a thrusting attack. Its long handle is suitable for both a one or two handed grip and is fashioned out of wood covered in black leather. To balance the long blade we have capped the butt with a beautiful "scent stopper" pommel which can be a lethal weapon in its own right. Every Hand-and-a-Half Sword reflects the highest standards in workmanship and materials and comes fully sharpened and ready for battle! To safely house the blade we have also included a very attractive scabbard made of wood covered with black leather and steel throat and chape. Simbad Scimitar Sword

The blade is made from German 1075 High Carbon Steel and are heat treated and annealed to about 56-58 Rockwell hardness. The edge is hand finished and polished to razor sharpness. The blasted satin finish is achieved by sand or bead blasting the exposed metal portion of the blade. The hardwood handles are made from hard woods of Central America, similar to Hickory. It is finished with a smooth grip and is known for its long durability. Includes a high quality, heavy duty, handcrafted leather sheath.
