Eigendlich war der Ständer an sich sehr schön. Nur wurden mir anstelle der 2 Gegenstücke, 2 Mal das Gleiche Stück geliefert wodurch ich gezwungen war den Ständer selber funktionsfähig zu machen.

Der Ständer wird in China gefertigt und man darf keine zu hohe Qualität erwarten, dennoch bin ich mit ihm zufrieden. Die schwarze Lackbeschichtung ist recht unempfindlich, allerdings muss man schon im Lieferzustand mit leichten Makeln an der Oberfläche rechnen. Diese sind aber wirklich sehr verinzelt und fallen nur bei genauerer Betrachtung auf. Der Ständer wird zerlegt geliefert und muss zusammengebaut werden. Hierzu liegen acht Holzdübel bei, die in vorgebohrte Löcher gesteckt werden müssen. Dies verleiht der Konstruktion gute Stabilität. Allerdings ist der Halt der Dübel sehr unterschiedlich. Einige müssen in die Löcher geschlagen werden, andere fallen von alleine heraus. Der Ständer läuft dadurch konstruktionsbedingt zwar nicht wirklich Gefahr zusammenzubrechen, dennoch würde ich beim Aufbau jeden Dübel zusätzlich mit Holzleim fixieren. Dann kann der Ständer auch mal von A nach B getragen werden, ohne dass dabei der Standfuß abfällt. Das geschwungene Mittelteil wird in eine Nut an den Seitenteilen gesteckt. Ich benötigte hierfür einen Hammer. Dabei muss man sehr aufpassen die Oberfläche nicht zu beschädigen oder gar die Seitenteile zu zerbrechen. Das Mittelteil kann auch kopfüber montiert werden. Je nachdem welche Optik man bevorzugt. Der nur schwer zu entfernende "Made in China"-Aufkleber kann in beiden Fällen zur Rückseite weisen und stört somit nicht. Eine Bauanleitung liegt übrigens nicht bei, aber die Montage ist selbsterklärend. Der Ständer eignet sich perfekt um ein komplettes Set japanischer Schwerter angemessen zu präsentieren. Theoretisch kann er auch für die meisten europäischen Klingen verwendet werden. Die Bilder von Swords&More sind zum Zeitpunkt dieses Reviews veraltet, da der Ständer optisch leicht verändert wurde. Der Unterschied ist aber gering. Wem die Version auf den Bildern gefällt, dem wird auch die aktuelle gefallen. Einziges echtes Manko ist der in meinen Augen zu hohe Preis von 29 Euro zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Die Herstellungskosten in China liegen wahrscheinlich bei einem Bruchteil. Ich habe den Ständer als kostenlose Dreingabe zu einer größeren Bestellung bekommen, ansonsten hätte ich mir wahrscheinlich lieber selber einen gebaut. Wegen des Preises gebe ich nur drei Sterne.
